You don't just have to press "OK", you also have to save your changes with #lm{save} for your message to show up.
If that still doesn't work, then chances are you might have edited the message on a different level number (probably unlikely given that you said you wrote it for level 105).
It works! Thanks.

EDIT:
By the way, how do I fix glitched tiles I want to use a grinder in my level.

change tileset or use Exgfx.

I decided against using the grinder, but I still have a question. How do I make my level a bps patch? I can make it an ips, but not a bps.
and where should I upload my level?

The same way you make an IPS patch, except you choose BPS instead of IPS when saving it.
That is, if you're using Flips like this tutorial suggests.
Your layout has been removed.
Thanks, But where do I upload it?

Use SMW Central's File Bin.

By the way, I haven't made out official yet, but all entries will likely need to be hosted in the File Bin for stability and security reasons. It should not be a big trouble for anyone here.

It's a little bit too late to just change the rules on that after dozens of people have already submitted.
Your layout has been removed.
I've already downloaded all the entries that don't use the file bin in order to rehost them in my own bin, once I get the okay from Vitor. That way none of the levels already submitted will be penalized for not following a rule that didn't exist then.

Of course, any updates to those levels would have to go in the file bin.
Is it just me, or does entering doors in the base rom blackscreen the game. If so, could there be some sort of fix for this?

Having the same issue (or at least a similar one), occasionally the base seems to crash during the transition between sublevels. I have no idea on what's causing it, it just seems to happen at random #ab{:S}
What emulator are you using? If ZSNES, it might be the reason, since its SA-1 emulation is unstable.

You can just change the graphics index with the #lm{gfxby} to a ghost house level. You'll have to fix the rest of the graphics with #lm{sgfxby}, though. There's probably an even easier way to get mist with layer 3 shenanigans but I barely know how to edit that properly.

I'd say changing the tileset is probably the easiest way, just be aware that changing the tileset is also going to change the first (and maybe second?) map16 page, which could cause some problems if you are tight on map16 space.

My level requires heavy use of Castle tiles (foreground and background) on top of the ExGfx space I'll need for other stuff.

EDIT: Bingo! Found a workaround!
I'm just here for VLDCX.
I'm using Snes9x, and upon further exploration, it actually only happens in vertical levels. Maybe I just set the level up wrong. I'll keep testing things.

My level's P switch music is out of whack. It doesn't end properly, and plays a goal or death sound effect upon finishing instead of resuming the level music.
I've just added two songs to the game and modified the invincibility star music, nothing else. Any tips on fixing this?

That's odd. Let me know if you find out anything new.

Be sure that you're using the latest AddmusicK version from the (Waiting) Tools section.

Other than that, I don't really have any idea how to fix that.

By the way, if someone is wondering, I'm really busy recently and I'm sorry for not being very active there and much less posting in the level threads. Hopefully in the next friday I may have some little time so I could comment more around the levels. I hope everything is going fine!

Thank you! I was using AMK 1.04, and 1.05 was hiding in the waitlist. This newer version seems to have worked.
You deserve a break, you have been working so hard to keep everything going smoothly!

Just to clarify (sorry if this has been mentioned already): we are allowed to recolor and merge at the same time, right? Specifically, I've recolored one tile to use the right half of the palette and then merged it with another one that still uses the left half - would that be okay?

yes
