i like the bg and the gradient. very pretty. The sand also looks nice

Your palm trees look like streetlamps with the lava lotus mouth that colour.
Very bight and cheery so far, like the layer3 (I think) sun and clouds.

Maybe make the gradient of your water a bit lighter, and the sand a bit darker. Either way, good work so far #tb{:]}!
I suggest making the wood palette more brown-ish than orange-ish and make the sea bg looks a bit brighter, but other than that the level looks pretty good and seems to be well designed.

E: When you return from the cave sublevel, the layer 2 bg disappears for some reason(prolly wrong initial position)

And talking about the sublevel, the podoboos(idk how to write this properly) are pretty close to each other and they looks a bit out of place because there are no podoboos on the level
C3 Thread
The level overall looks very good for me. I'm just a bit worried that these kind of levels were already pretty common in VLDC9 and in case you make a generic gimmick you might not score very well in design creativity. Maybe if you make a plot twist like one part of the level being in night can help it, but that's just a random idea.

I quite enjoyed your level. The aesthetics are very nice and fitting to the theme of the level.
While I do think the level design is fun for the most part it doesn't really focus on a specific "gimmick" or enemy type
and therefore some parts of the level seems a little random or out of the place, for example the pokey jump.
This is the only time there's a pokey in this level and the jump felt more difficult than the rest of the level.
The same goes for the cave sub-level. This is the only time you're going to see the podobos in the level.
By that I'm not saying that I didn't like the level design, but rather that I think it could be improved.

Well made level my friend! I like this sand color and the whole background. The atmosphere of this made me feel like on the beach. Although the sand could be darker and water in the BG lighter. The palms look like streetlamps and the Podoboos in cavern are misplaced cause there are none in this level
I have a Discord server as well!

I may have canceled my level, but I've never said I could change my mind and get ideas.
