This level...It makes NO SENSE!

...But that's a good thing. Can't wait to see what you'll provide with us in this crazy abstract level, Miku.
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.
Wow, the tileset looks fantastic! But who is that shadowy figure :o

Love that dancing bird. Super excited to see where this goes!!

Aw thanks I appreciate that :3 as for the shadowy figure its actually the koopa equivalent! also lol glad you love the bird :3 I felt it was important to include it!
the background seems to be inspired by this year´s layout. At all it´s well made.

From these two screenshots i cannot judge where this will lead designwise but since you haven´t finished the level yet, there´s enough time to come up with other creative ideas #tb{;)}

At first glance it doesn't even look Vanilla.

Great work. I'm looking forward to seeing what other abstract elements you add into this level.
Very impressive work Miku! Can't wait to see the full level!
were you trying to recreate smwc's current background?

Looking incredible, you got some fine aesthetic senses right there. Looking foward!
Digging the look so far, dude. Judging by the name and what we've seen so far, I expect a very abstract and trippy type of level.

Not sure why but it reminds me of the Cave of the Past in Earthbound. Impressive

All the angular shapes with the FG decoration, maybe?

Seeing you without your Paper Demo av feels weird

Yeah, I definitely knew exactly why I was thinking that, not sure why I decided to make it sound vague.
you saw nothing.

O I was inspired by the current background but I didnt want to recreate it since I think it would be more interesting to make something new! and thanks alot I really appreciate that :D

Lol thank you! glad you like it!
After playing it i have to say that the graphics are phenomenal, but the design is just "average". I feel like this level just repeats obstacles including koopas, goombas and the timed lifts. So it doesn´t really stand out. I admit it get´s more interesting in the 2nd half, where you get the Yoshi and you have to play around with springboards and the 1F0-tiles, too. But as i said, if there weren´t the aesthetics the level would be quite boring. Just the visual design makes it somehow interesting.
It´s hard to say how you could improve, but maybe try making the level less monotonous? I mean, about 25% of the main-level (especially the 1st half) is just floating water bubbles including spinies to dodge. Maybe coming up with other enemies in the mai level may help, too. I mean you used a pokey in the sublevel, but it´s the only one. Coming up with 2-3 setups including to dodge or use a pokey in the main level as well reduces the feeling of monotony and adds some variation. I guess that´s all i can say for now since the level is quite linear (which isn´t bad, but as mentioned nothing outstanding). maybe some other player will give you feedback, too and you add a few changes? I hope so.

Thanks alot for the feedback I really appreciate it. I made alot of the first part of the stage that way as I wanted to make sure the player got a fair chance of understanding it while also getting to try a small challenge but yeah I agree I will try mixing it up more hopefully making the level a little better.
Like leiras said, the visuals are outstanding, but gameplay is decent. One problem I has was that it's not obvious you need to keep yoshi in the second half. I dropped him off where the wall and the spring were, and went a bit further before I realized I was stuck and had to suicide.
I think with a little touching up on design this level with be up there with the best of them.
