Do you remember "correct spelling", "big letters" and "punctuation"? I don't want to diss mah bros (hoes?), but I can't exactly tell what you're saying.

I had this idea of there having two Mario's in one level, where they are on the same screen, and move at the same time. With that, both Mario's are taking a completely different path that has completely different obstacles, and must get through with the same button pressing.

Or something similar to that, where you can switch between Mario and Luigi. When you switch, the screen will scroll over to the other player, and you will be able to stand on the inactive character.

Luigi is driving a Sky Pop, and Mario stands on it while flying (Or vise versa). Up, down, left, and right will make them move. You can still jump, but the Sky Pop will still be under Mario/Luigi. Similar to Sky Chase Zone from Sonic 2.

Mario rides Yoshi the whole time, but cannot crush enemies by stomping them. Instead, Yoshi will have to eat and spit out coins to defeat enemies. Also, pressing a certain button will make Mario throw a coin that was simply collected (If any) so you can still use coins if you collected them.

When a coin block is hit, it will fall down after a few seconds pass. The falling coin block can press P-Switches, break Turn Blocks, kill enemies, and crush Mario.
[Wow, these are really great ideas, really. Sadly, though, I probably won't be using any, because I'm creating a hack called 'Toad's Return' and you probably all know what it's all going to be about.. Toad! I'm thinking of creating my own homemade/handmade sprites.]
Perhaps there could be a ready-to-use patch in which the musical instruments that are used in the game are replaced with a more varied and generalized set of musical instruments? As it stands right now, it seems that SMW is lacking in the area of those singers in the background (and it may be lacking in other fields, such as those heavy metal guitars maybe). I mean, Super Metroid, another SNES game, has it.

I notice my previous super mario 16 idea wasn't qyute popular. Anyway.
I have a more simple idea now.

It would be called Super OBVIOUS world, or something.

It's not a hard hack, it would be a hack, or just a bunch of levels, that would contain traps. Just traps. For exemple, there is a mushroom in the middle of nowhere, but you must not pick it since it actually make you unable to go through the small tunnel at the end.
Or just invisible blocks over a gap. (or two layers of inisible blocks...) and sprites with altered look, obviously.

Well, you get the idea.
Our world will stop advancing once humans manage to create sufficient magnificence for a whole lifetime. Until then, I just create.

A level where you start with 99 coins, and invincibility. But the coins will decrease every half-second, and if you have no coins, your invincibility will be gone. Probably have things that hurt you (Munchers) on the ground so you have to keep the invincibility. Also, make the coin limit 99 so you can't get a 1up and have 0 coins.
How about these three ideas:
The blue boomerang powerup.
1 A combo of the key and ICB's boomerang powerup.

2 A Wart boss.
An edited Slede bro.

3 The ability to play as Mario and luigi at the same time on screen.

1. Wait, what do you mean? Combine a key with a boomerang or what?
Make the boomerang act as a key when being picked up, and act as a boomerang when thrown when it already was picked up. Combining the two codes in a way.

If someone makes this, the running on wall graphics will not be needed and will save a lot of space for some other stuff.
Equipable abilities/items. An 8×8 tile can tell you what you have in the Status bar, pressing a button (X, maybe) uses it.
Here go some ideas:

-GFX and hex edits:

Just use a new character for mario's GFX and do convenient hex edits for the powerups with an hex editor and the rom map. You couldn't believe what you can do with that!

-Megaman games?:

This reqieres a little of asm and custom sprites inserting ,but well..
Use the health bar patch in the site to give mario a health bar megaman styled and also to make mario ALWAYS big. Then, with the L/R patch, make a code in order to use L and R to cycle through 9 different values of the ICB's hammer and boomerang generator main adress(is in the generator, look for it!). Modify the generator to have up to 8 different shooting routines, or even change some of the routines to activate the p-switch timer, for example. insert the generator and your custom proyectiles in your rom, put the generator in every level, and voilá! You get a almost perfect megaman engine. You can always add a supply patch to show the name of the weapon in the status bar, for example...

-Site`s patches:

In this site, are a lot of patches that, combining well enough, can let you make a unique, different SMW hack, and with no needing of asm knowdlege.

-Just GFX:

Even without complicated patches, hex edits or custom blocks/sprites, you can make a good SMW hack, just with ExGFX, good use of custom palettes and a litle bit of imagination..

Just a quick thought on a level idea.

I think it would be interesting to make some levels that REQUIRE the player to run the whole time. I know there are already some existing custom blocks that could be used, for example, the ones where you can run over water, if at full speed, but otherwise it turns into water, or something that kills or damages Mario. With making levels where you have to run the entire time, the possibilities and ideas would be almost endless.

I had this idea that if you hit a normal question mark block with a different color shell it will give you different things. Like red shell might give you a fire flower.

I have a pretty cool idea.
Iggy's battle platform that rotates 360 degrees, has Horizontal and vertical Thwomps and Iggy, with crazy obsacles all in one strange shape! I'm not sure whether that's possible or not but, it's still an idea. Also if Mario kicks Iggy into a certain amount of enemies it triggers the level finished ect...

I have a pretty simple yet cool idea. What if someone made a SMW2 game, not yoshi's island but SMW edited with new levels, worlds, bosses and remixes for every song in the game. There would be no exgfx what so ever making it a vanilla hack. The game would be long and have 120 exits, along with harder star world and special world levels. You would also have the option to fly on yoshi on the overworld screen too. I want to make it but I'm not good with overworld designing.
