Since my VLDCX level is basically finished (just needs some testings by other people), I now have to time to make my COLLAB level.

In case if you haven't seen or forgotten my level idea yet, the gimmick is about a variation of the air meter where the bad air constantly drains but you can refresh it it by going into pipes.
Said air is also the reason, why the only enemies you will meet are either "undead" or "inanimate".

Here is an example of how the gimmick works:

That gimmick reminds me of my VLDC4 level.

Looks neat, but you should use layer 2 for the background, those giant outlines for the pipes look weird.

Of course, you not only have to dodge the air but also some enemies.


Being in water is not good too because it drains the air even faster.

Of course, I have yet to fix a couple stuff like insert a layer 2 background and the base ROM has to be updated (hence the glitched tiles on Mario and the status bar). The reason I haven't done the latter before is because I'm lazy to update. The actual reason is that some tools crashes the game and so I first want to do show some screenshoots to show him that I made some progress so I can get the password for the tools. <_<

I also disabled spin jumping because reasons, though depending on how I develop the level, I might reactivate it.

This actually looks pretty good so far! The gimmick is interesting and the design also looks fine so far. I'm not sure on how I feel about spinjump, disabling game mechanics on random levels might make the hack feel kinda inconsistent imo. Unless it completely breaks the level or something I wouldn't recommend it.
I really like the screens! It's gonna be one of the most interesting levels of this collab! I can't wait for it.
