Fantastic! Now, just lefts the Layer 4 top make an perfect YI Bowser's Corridor.

Bramble Invasion & Surreliatus


This is something new I've made for my hack. I've made 2 custom powerups. Unfortunately, I am not going to be releasing this, because these are for my hack only. But I'd like to show this anyway. ^_^

Video

The first powerup, (called the Power Shroom) allows you to break through cracked blocks if you are big, and the second one (called the Wall-jump boots) allows you to wall-jump (obviously). I think it turned out really well. ^_^
That reminds me a bit of Azure Chaotic, with the collectible powerups.
Can someone make an A.S.M. patch that displays your current powerup instead of the y o s h i coin number?
I need this badly, and I don't have enough knowdlege, so, please help me

It seems as if no games are safe from Poison Mushrooms. The generator renders Mario's spin jump useless, running fast is also gone. His jumping ability has also been poisoned. The effect happens when Mario collects the blue mushroom.

The blue mushroom is a sprite modified from Davros' coin.



Woah, nice mushroom... I love how the generator gives Mario the effects you gave him. Nice work Sonikku. :)

Superyoshi: Those are some pretty neat powerups. Nice job. :)

Anyway, I have something I'd like to show. I've made a custom sprite and I inserted it with Carol's Overworld Spritetool. The sprite causes the music to change depending on whether Mario is on the top half or the bottom half of the overworld. Here is a video.

@Jimmy: Good work with that sprite. It reminds me of Brutal Mario though.. Still it's a good sprite.

Something new to show, finally. Thanks to Skwaa for the suggestion regarding the boomerang freeze capabilities.

I've removed my NoFades patch until I can find the brightness code for Star Road warps.
Wow! ICB, I can see all the help here has really lead up to something, and it looks great! Are all of these "collectable?" (as in is the boomerang available from start, are the bombs available without a bomb bag, etc.)

I tested it on Super Blooper just now, it causes no slowdown as it uses no sprite tiles, as it's on Layer 3.


It freezes the game when I JSL to the Kill Mario routine, so I improvised by STZ'ing Mario's powerup, and then hurts him.



Wow, I could surely use that for my hack, awesome work.
