I might give it to those who ask, but it uses SMW's original sprites, including the Mushroom. It probably wouldn't be useful for most hacks.

Wait, let me get this straight. You... edited the mushroom/flower/cape/star graphics and simply write the current HP to the item reserve byte...?

Well... I guess that's one way to do it...
It's really just tailored to my hack, which won't use Mushrooms or any of the other sprites (shelless Koopas) used. Besides, it saves space in the status bar GFX files.

I should've mentioned this when I first saw this on MG, Jammare, but that health meter also seems like something you could find with SMG as well. But still, it's a great use of ASM.

This is a really simple patch (a measly 00000010 byte edit!), but it's something that n00bs and experts alike have begged for since the dawn of SMW hacking.

I've removed my NoFades patch until I can find the brightness code for Star Road warps.
Aww! I was making a patch for that right as you submitted the video. Very nice though, I had no idea it would get rid of the fade and make levels load faster. Really efficient, SMW.
I suppose that was you who submitted the Mosaic thing a few minutes ago.

I thought I would have to change that byte, but it turns out I didn't. Someone on Youtube mentioned something about huge levels with tons of sprites being laggy. I just made level 105 HUGE and put the max number of sprites in it, and it loaded just fine.

After thinking, I got a spring of inspiration to make this. Here's the description from the video;

Description from the video:
Improvement on the previous health meter. Now its bigger and 5-6 coins heal you by one segment and a Mushroom heals 2 segments. I've yet to add custom sprites taking away custom HP and a Yoshi coin increasing the HP by one.
