Quick question: How far will Saph go when it uses shell slam; as far as Mario's duck-slide, or as far as New SMB Shell Mario goes?
If all goes well, it WILL go further than a normal duck slide. I just gotta get a few more things ironed out.

And I know that the long duck slide thing is done. I actually made that function! But it's still shorter than NSMB Mario's shell run.
And I think that the original wall-triangles are not used anymore. I made new ones, which he seemed to like. For more info about wall-running in this hack, check out the Upsidedown Triangles 2.1.

This hack looks very well done and the gameplay seems very creative. I'm very excited for the first demo to be released, as this is probably one of the most original hacks I've ever seen.
Also, will the walking/running system work the same in this game, or will he go slower/faster while walking/running?

Why not make Saph slide around in his shell while he's running full speed? That would make it more like NSMB.

No, that's only for a short time (it's an ASM'd duck slide). I was talking like indefinitely (while he's running at full tilt).
as an replacement for the fireflower you could use the spiketop-with-wrench(sp?)-on-his-back thing from an paper mario game(i think) and use any kind of catapult thing(instead of an spike or wrench) that shoots little rocks? my first project, i included screenshots and an video

Alcaro has been coding most of the stuff for the shell slam. He should know. It's become more than just duck slide edit.

1.if he can climb up walls, does that mean he can climb down a wall.
2.can he climb a ceiling.
