Tip: When you're about to release your hack, make a patch first, patch it to a clean ROM, and then test that. This way, you are testing both the hack AND the patch. Not logged in.

Hey man, I DONT comment on hacks but I wanted to give you even more motivation. This hack actually looks good. I would actually play this.

A question: how much of the gfx did you do yourself? Just curious.

Regardless on what graphics you drew its all arranged so beautifully. I really hope the level design holds up. So yeah dont give up bro this is mental.

Edit, quick note. I like that the hack looks good but isnt pretentious as fuck by using quirky words noone would say in real life and isnt just aliteration spam. Good job man, keep it up

Thanks for the positive feedback! As for the graphics, just about all of the ExGFX are either ripped from other games, or drawn/edited by me. Not to say I've never used GFX drawn by others--The bamboo graphics used in Overgrown Shrine, for example, were drawn by sunwarrior25:

So very impressive. It all looks like it should be in the same game without looking trashy and over detailed. You should be very proud of this, man.

One of the only hacks I will play when it released lol

I don't generally try or comment on demos, but, this looks so impressive that I'll have to give it a go. Cheers!
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...a new level...!

Maplewood Forest 2: Switchcreak Swamp

As...you can probably guess, this stage's main gimmick are the switch blocks! By hitting a switch, an outline block of its corresponding color will become solid, allowing for some unique platforming segments.

I'm excited to see how this progresses. In the screenshot, it's difficult to see the outlines of the red and blue blocks against the bright brown background. Would you consider darkening the background a bit?
