Feel free to comment on my style of play, criticize me for easy deaths, etc. I won't do entries out of order, so don't request it.
I can't wait to play 184. I hear it's really good.
Only 140 entries before mine. \o/
No commentary. How are we suppose to guess whether you liked the levels or not?

Hi.
when you get my full results alongside the other judges

really though I'm bad at live commentary so I just didn't bother
At least you can see how smoothly his experience goes. People over JUMP1/2 use .smv files for feedback and you can tell whether a segment was too hard or unfair if in the video the player dies a lot in there. This is similar, except you can't fix your levels anymore!
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?

Fair enough.

I suppose. It's definitely better than nothing.

Hi.
just pay off the judges and you'll be fine
How do you feel only being 3% done all the entries
Later.
I'm #144 so it's a while before mine comes up! :P
I like the way you just didn't bother with entry 2 after noticing the cement blocks#tb{XD}
Nothing of value was lost #tb{;)}

haha didn't Idol prove that making those was technically possible?

Either way, the level is just a series of precision jumps :P

Really?
Like, getting the the outline of the stone to look like it is still just one pixel seems almost impossible in vanilla.
But I really like to see the way you can do it #tb{XD}

I didn't even notice the cement blocks tbh

i think technically you can just merge the cement block with a tile that has a black pixel in the corner. Ex. that first X in GFX00.bin
lol nah. You can probably pick the solid colour block in GFX04 and overlap/recolor it, but like FrozenQuills said, I doubt he went through all that trouble
ask me if i give a f*ck...
well if you use that methode you still get an outline that isn't his

left one is original tile merged with solid color, right one is taken from his submission. (I only changed the outline to red)

edit: I don't want to cause any hassle, I'm legit curious how he made them

hey yall

here are the steps to achieve the square cement blocks.

in order:

1: grab ur cement block
2: recolor the black outlines of each 8x8 to somewhere else in the palette. remember, these cannot overlap into a color already used in the block. for example, i did this (this link will break in time coz i used puush lol)
3: then, change these colors to match the ones used in the initial block. this creates the illusion that they use the same color without them taking up the same palette spot.
4: this tile effectively functions as a corner line guide.
5: just merge it on-top of the cement block and voila

however, opening up mario world's level goes to show, well:

so there you go
Thanks for the explanation #tb{:]}
That's really complicated for such an unnecessary change#tb{XD}
