Description

SMWF The Shadow Queen Returns is the team hack on SMW Central that i working on for the past 1 and a half years and was inspired by other hacks like (Do The Mario Made By Tobio) and 3+World made by (Yoshi master). This Hack using Custom ASM of Sprites ,Blocks ,Uberasm and patches as well has Custom Music for this hack however some music are use in other games and hacks

PLOT
This Plot contains spoiler of Odyssey and Paper Mario The 1000 year door.
The Hack take place after the events of Super Mario Odyssey. when Bowser couldn't enable to get Mario. Bowser was asleep for a while. After that bowser wake up to find out that bowser was in a Dark Cave which has a purple koopa. the purple koopa tell bowser that the purple koopa is actually the shadow queen. The Shadow Queen tell Bowser that they has a plan to take over the world however to order to do this plan they has to build a machine that take a year to order to build it.
A year later
Mario was asleep but a toad wake up Mario that many toads has be in prison at Bowser Castle. It up to Mario to save those innocent toads but Mario doesn't know that the shadow queen was alive again.


who do we need

Custom ASM.
Level Designers to redesign old levels and new levels.
Writer for the Dialogue and for cutscenes.
Custom Graphics.

Redesign 3-Castle (level number 18) Note: You don't have do the boss room, I've do it.
Underground music for the hack (No Samples)
Snow music for the hack (No Samples)
New Level Names for (Level Numbers) (002),(003),(004),(008) and (009)
Desert map music for the hack (No Samples)
Remap the PIXI Hammer, Boomerang, Fire and Ice Bros Sprite Tiles to SP4 to SP3.
New Level it is open for claim (Level Number 102)

Questions and Answers

Q: Is this hack has custom powerups
A: No only the Racooon leaf from SMB3 is in the game as the replacement of the cape feather but if the hack has a sequel it may has new custom powerups

Q: Where This Hack next demo released
A: The Recent Demo is The Level Sampler in C3 Summer 2018 and that the final Demo possibly. Also the hack may be finish in late 2019 or early,mid 2020

The overworld border is strange, and remakes are pretty lame. Other than that everything looks alright.

I like Dino Valley screenies. Design and enviroment are nice. I'd only rearrange dirt tiles a bit where these holes in the dirt are located. also where's mario lol

Boom Boom Castle looks a bit bland, though. I can't judge its overall design properly, of course, because I am only seeing a few pictures of it... except for the Boom Boom room. I'd suggest placing a ceiling in it to fill it a bit more.

The map looks decent apart from perspective errors.

On another note, I noticed your previous post speaking about the intention of having a custom soundtrack for the hack. While it would be indeed cool, you shouldn't only rely on others to do the job for you. Anyway (not a promise, though, just to be clear), I could help with something if I get time and feel in the mood for the task. I just need to finish all of my stuff.

2-1 looks quite bland and I still don't really dig the SMB3 border style on the overworld, but otherwise this looks like good fun.

The overworld looks bad as usual, but everything else levels look alright. Also, the desert/beach submap palettes are weird, especially the yellow part (which I'm assuming the the desert area?)

And another thing, how many hacks are you going to put on hold before actually finishing one?

I heavily recommend getting rid of the random remakes. They're filler levels at best, just cutting them completely would be better, really. Other levels aren't too bad aesthetically but they seem very bland, with pretty much nothing going on, specially 2-3 which seems very lacking in sprites or any sort of obstacles.

No, don't get rid of the remakes! Leave them! I love them, but in the SMB3 4-1 Remake pic, I don't like the desert sky. Make it blue or orange or something. I'd like blue

Man I really like the graphical style of your hack(using smb3+SMW assets).
My only sugestion is to change the OW border and the get rid of the remakes.
Remakes aren't good at hacks because the players already played those levels on the original games, so they want a new experience with the hack.
I'd like to see a video of one of your levels to see about the level design, the level design looks good but the levels look a bit empty and bland sometimes.

The level that has been choosen to be remade doesn't matter. The fact that there is a remade level in general makes the hack not as good, interesting or creative as it'd be without it.
If I'd follow your mindset I could make a hack that features all levels of the classic Mario Games that aren't from world 1 and it would be a good hack. Right?

That's not what he meant - the advice is that you should create your own levels instead of remaking (or using the unused) levels from other games. Give the players original content to play, which is better than having a few levels that were already done, but not really by you.
You have to make some creative content which everyone will like to play through instead of containing remakes of levels from other games which is unoriginal. Unused ones also count.
Wanted to post an update on my hack for 2000 posts, but well, there goes my plan, unfortunately.
