Should we remove FuSoYa's pipes from the patches sections?

FuSoYa's pipe was never updated for a long time, and bugs still remain:

-If Mario is heading left, and then up or down, and finally exits, Mario will exit the pipe misaligned from the center.
-Mario still interacts with blocks placed directly under horizontal pipes, for example: placing a muncher would kill the player inside the pipe.
-Touching any bottom of the lower tiles of a horizontal pipe caps warps the player to the last exited pipe. If no exited pipe is exited/used, will teleport to the top-left corner of the level. This also applies to the translucent block.
-If you let go of carry-able sprites as you exited the top of an upwards facing pipe cap, the sprite will drop through the pipe cap.

And the most important part: It isn't compatible with the newest block inserter tool: GPS.

I was thinking of removing that outdated code and place it in smwc's FTP (media.smwcentral.net, much like some other outdated stuff in case hackers really wanted it), since my pipes are far superior.

Edit: Unless if the pipes were compatible with GPS and submitted to patches section, then disreguard this thread.

Give thanks to RPG hacker for working on Asar.
I mean, if it's buggy and isn't even compatible with GPS I don't see why not, especially when something like an xkas patch is instantly removed
If you upload a non-buggy version compatible with GPS, I do agree to remove FuSoYa's version of the patch.

actually, no.

-they also move quite slow
-these bugs could be utilized in kaizo hacks
-fix them yourself if you are that concerned about it too.

You can actually change the speed settings in the readme.

The only gripe I have is they sometimes don't work at random.

Speaking of, what happened to your blocks version of these pipes?

Are you sure that's mine? That's likely mikeyK's version.

No, they are good for kaizo hacks.
Since when are bugs features? If you want a contextless and arbitrary knowledge requirement in your hack, you can add that in numerous ways, like requiring the player to imput the konami code on particular frames, or having munchers that don't kill you every 78th frame.

Dude, you kidding? LUL

If his Uberasm code breaks your rom, you're not inserting it correctly. I've been using it for a while now, and I've never seen a conflict with that code.

As GHB himself said, the move speed is configurable.

Keeping a bugged code in our database under the excuse it could be used in Kaizo is the lamest thing I've heard. Why have ASM moderation in the first place then? Every bugged sprite block or patch could be used in Kaizo!

He fixed them himself (and worldpeace if Im not mistaken), hence why he is asking to remove the broken outdated version??

Very rude of your part towards his contribution to the community. His pipes are indeed far superior and work very well, and I agree with removing the old Fusoya pipes so it won't confuse newcomers.

These are blocks, that work in conjunction with a little fix-patch and a gamemode code.

That was my old cancelled hack, it's not really relevant anymore, besides, you bumped an old quote from forever ago. Besides, I've already gotten it to work.

Wow Sherlock, thanks for telling me when he already did!

Alright, then why does:
-Pandora's Box use these glitches
-Numerous other hacks utilize these too

Do you know how far your head is in the clouds? certain blocks/asm with small yet usable/abusable bugs can be used in kaizo, I don't mean "hey let's use every broken object ever made"

He never fixed them, they're rebuilt from the ground up.

You know what, be quiet, I had an opinion and you don't need to go there with it. It's not even relevant anymore as I have just gotten GHB's to work.
May I also mention you backseat moderated an old as hell post?

They do, now only if it could also be used with UberASM patch....

I agree with removing them too, only thing holding me back is the fact that if I were to lose lots of stuff related to the Hack I'm using right now i wouldn't have a backup patch to reapply to continue with my hack.

Sherlock Strikes Again!
I wanted the GPS Fusoya pipes mind you, not for you to tell me "yeah they're blocks you fucking idiot".

Pandora's Box and those numerous other hacks are badly designed and their creators should feel bad.

I don't have to be a kaizo hack designer to tell you that requiring the player be familiar with bugs not in vanilla SMW is terrible design.

Stop with the aggresiveness and the personal attacks. There is no need to start insulting each other just because of issues one user has with certain resources. Especially you, Konata, you should not turn snarky and get to the defensive in the manner you just did. If you feel someone is insulting you, don't reply; ask a staff member to deal with this situation.
Edit: Now that I look at it Chihaya's post wasn't really rude apart from one part. Edited the warning above.

Regarding the pipes: we might see now that worldpeace updated GHB's with better features. In my opinion variety doesn't hurt, but if one far outweights the other in terms of usefulness and in how does it work.
worldpeace's screen scrolling pipes are literally superior in every single way imaginable to every single iteration of screen scrolling pipes, in my humble opinion. Soo.. take that as you will.

Alsoo just gonna add that (pretty much) no one uses glitches that come from ASM in kaizo hacks because 1. it's incredibly counter intuitive and 2. it arises from a particular knowledge of an smwc piece of ASM, rather than actual knowledge of the smw engine and mechanics themselves.

However, mixing vanilla glitches with custom ASM is actually a pretty neat and fun design style. See Medusa's Lair for example, using custom ASM brown block snakes to trigger the layer 2 + solid block + magikoopa magic glitch. However, you would never abuse a glitch in the ASM's code. You would fix it so the hack isn't glitched. Basically, abusing Nintendo's mistakes is fun and cool, but abusing other hacker's mistakes is dumb.

Now that I thought about it, that was only valid for the outdated FuSoYa's pipes and one of the old versions of GHB's pipes, and they were more present in Kaizo: Hard hacks. I found now that the pipes worldpeace submitted are far superior and faster (thanks to him for submitting and also to Mellonpizza for lenting a hand). If you still want to use the way outdated pipes because of the glitches that stem around them, then do so and face some negative side effects regarding other resources.
FuSoYa's pipes are glitchy because they were actually created a decade ago if I'm not wrong. Now ASM possibilities are on a higher level than before and your versions of old blocks/sprites can be superior compared to the latter.

EDIT: When the old version of screen-scrolling pipes made by FuSoYa is removed, the fellow guy can add them to his file bin so everybody can download and use them in their kaizo hacks if they want.
