Hi, just thought I'd drop by to mention that I made a small update to Level 12A: GNARLY. Here's the download.
(It's nothing major, just a few new enemy placements and an extra spot to collect coins.)

I've also gained interest in making another level for the collab, and since the opportunity has arose, I'd like to claim

Yes. I interpreted "no Map16" to mean we could not change any tile settings or add anything that isn't already there, as opposed to it being entirely off limits for the purpose of building the level.

Yes you may! Natnew... I waited sounded like his level was done, but struggled with a Sprite. If I don't hear another day or two I'll consider abandoned.

Does this disqualify the level? I feel like it conforms to the spirit of the collaboration. I never had a second thought about doing it because, other than with slopes and a handful of objects, I level build almost exclusively using Map16.

If Minuy600 was allowed to use vertical scroll in one of his levels, I guess Ten can keep the Map16. He would need to upload the .map16 file though.

lol, yeah that does appear to be quite an issue..
Because it's an honest mistake (map16)I suppose we could accept it.It also means kyanites level can have it too.
BUT! no exceptions after this or we have defeated the main purpose of the hack!



Edit: She says level is indeed finished, the level goes right to left.
I didn't make any changes to Map16 (or if I did, it was not intended). What I did was use the 16x16 Tile Map editor to directly place layer 1 and 2 objects in the level, instead of using the Add Objects Window.

can you see the cuttoff when you play the level or only in the editor?
I have fixed my cuttoff in my version.

IIRC you could see cutoff when playing the level by triggering vertical scroll. But it's good that you fixed it.

No I'm aware the vertical scroll allowed sight of cuttoff in mine. Idol (she) is the level I'm referring too.

I actually decided to ditch the sprite entirely, thereby solving it, but then got too busy to finish...
