How can you enjoy playing a pit hack?

I don't understand. How? Pit hacks are impossible to play without frame advance, which only a few people can do.

I'd like to try one, but how?

It is true, only a few people are born with frame advance. Most people traverse through the great plains of time at average speed. For most people, a second is, well, what you would consider a second.

For the few rare children that are born with frame advance, it is both a burden and a curse. Time moves extremely slowly for us, frame by frame, allowing us to carefuly consider every action, every decision. Sometimes is leaves us alone with our thoughts, as our minds can process a lot in one second.

Yes, I was one of the few rare people who was born with this strange ability. It is both a blessing and a curse. I have the ability to play pit hacks with ease, as I can react every frame and make decisions in fractions of the time of the average joe. But alas, it has its cons. School is incredibly long, around 1203847282 frames to be exact, and is quite the ordeal to sit through. It does give me a lot of time to think, however.

It also allows us to play pit hacks with ease. To the rare few of us, playing a pit hack is much like strolling leisurely through Donut Plains 1, or perhaps Forest of Illusion 3. Yes, pit hacks may look insane to the average speed person, but to us frame advancers, it is the only way to garner true satisfaction from playing video games.

Yes, for the rare few people born with the ability to frame advance, life can be quite a crazy thing. But ya know, what I've discovered after all these frames, is that it's all one wild ride, no matter how fast it's going. For the frame advancers, rewinders, savestaters, fast forwarders, and regular timers. Life moves on frame by frame, but the memories are snapshots that last a lifetime.

(Actually we also have the ability to take snapshots as well so I was being completely literal... yea)
the videos and bragging rights are the only things that make pit hacks worth it lmao
(Pit hacks aren't made to be enjoyed or played without tools)
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
If you don't resort to a massive amount of tools and frame advance, then you wouldn't probably enjoy playing pit hacks.

You'd also have to know how to pull off the more insane stunts in order to finish them (like key jumping and tight jumps between munchers, these are common).

You don't, unless you're born with the pit gene.

Yes but there is also another possibility, but it is very dangerous !
Pit hacks are pretty much meant to be played once by a very talented person and then made into a video for others to watch IMO. I don't see any other reason to play them.

The conversation went from pit hacks to genetic engineering
THe "Pit" hack is one that can only be conquered, and therefore enjoyed by the great elite SMW players, or TAS'ers if you will.

Ask Amaraticando. He knows this stuff all too well.
