OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes

So, a little while ago, this minisode from the Cartoon Network youtube channel ended up getting greenlit as a series, and since then they've released quite a few shorts of the show, and recently they've even released the first 6 or so episodes early. Has anyone else seen the shorts/early release episodes and does anyone have any thoughts on it?

Personally, I rather like the show from what I've seen of it. I dig the whole video-gameish theme to the whole show, the humor is actually funny sometimes, and the show is overall both cute and pretty awesome at points. It's really nice to see CN starting an actually decent show for the first time in a while (PPG reboot as well as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs were pretty bad and the Ben 10 reboot was okay at best).
Officially a Mega Man addict.
Major thanks to Giga and Erik557 for the layout.

So OK K.O. finally premiered today, and there's gonna be new episodes all month. Did anyone catch the episodes they aired, and if so, did you like them?

I actually like this.
I really don't like the art style but I like the writing and pace. It feels like a goofier take on what the earlier episodes of Steven Universe were like, which is fine by me.
It's pretty damn great.

The jokes are solid, the art style is very goofy (the Hanna-Barbera sound effects add to that) and rough (drawn in pencil!), and the music is composed by Jake Kaufman. That sounds like my kind of show.

Yeah, reminds me of early SU which makes sense, since OK KO's creator, Ian-Jones Quartey, was a major part of SU until he left after Barn Mates. KO's design actually inspired the design of Ruby, too. Not to mention Ian is dating Rebecca Sugar (and has been for years).

I like that it has an ongoing plot yet I really don't want it to go down the serious path SU and AT did. The serious path works well for those two shows but I really doubt it would for OK KO.
twitter is basically where im at now
Yeah, this is pretty good so far.
I still don't like the art but I've gotten used to it. The pacing is good and I like how it has character development and continuity without being overly serious. I wish it would have a more anime-styled art style with more shading and softer coloring, but the way it looks now does fit the goofy tone and quick writing.
It seems to avoid a lot of the common pitfalls and genericness that a lot of shows fall for. It feels nice to watch a show that isn't utilizing the same three jokes that every other show likes to repeat every other scene.
I'll be honest I only started watching it for Enid's thighs lmao, but then I got actually interested in it because it's actually kind of funny

also Mr. Gar is fucking ripped easy meme material
