Hello. Welcome again to another episode of "Ruberjig goes to C3"
In this episode, we have an update on how far he has come with his hack "What-A-Blast", and what is taking so long to finish his hack. We also see some strange bugs, but Ruberjig knows slowly but surely, this hack is growing to a completed amount. Will he finish? Will the hack fail? I actually had no idea what this thread was about at first, you should have told people that this is actually a demo for your hack What-a-Blast!!
I feel like people are looking forward to that but nothing in this thread actually tells them what it's about!

The screenshots don't exactly showoff all of this since there's a lot of original compositions and stuff too, so give it a try and see what else those hacks (yes, those, there are two hacks) have to offer!
Also here's something from Banana Split too I guess???
@Ruberjig why couldn't you include the screens of your hack in the main post and say what hack you're talking about. This would be helpful for people who looked forward for some hack like that, but didn't know about your work though.

The potential there is in this hack is astounding. It looks, plays and feels completely unique, it's not a Mario hack but instead its own thing. I'm very happy to see you haven't abandoned it!
That said, I can see that there's still a lot of polish left to be done. I managed to crash the game casually twice and crash Snes9x outright once... another thing I noticed is that the music needs better mixing. I think most of the sound effects should be louder.
I'm looking forward to a more polished demo/release. Keep working hard!
I don't have that much to say as I haven't played the more recent iterations of what a Blast, but I really like how unique everything is and how it's going along - I still remember the ton of gimmicks that were not only unique on a per level basis, but plenty of them I never even saw before, which is really impressive considering nearly every gimmick in SMW hacking has already been done to death in its 16 year lifespan.
Keep it up and keep me posted on when it's finished; the let's play will be a real blast.
