When I check the member list to see who has registered I see that 3 or 4 of the new users are banned (their name color is brown and it says "Account Disabled"). Some of them don't even have any posts. Are they banned because they are alt accounts or something? I saw one only registered for 2 minutes.
Also, occasionally one of the staff members' names are brown too (and no, I'm not talking about Nimono). Why does this happen?
The banned users have a history of doing one or more things that are against the rules and then reregging to evade their ban. Usually the reason for their ban is kept among the staff.
As for the username color, staff members can set their own custom colors once they get promoted. You can have one yourself by either becoming one, being MoTM or winning an official contest with a custom color as a prize.

While reregs are the most common newcomer bans, we also get a fair number of spambots trying to post "SELLING DUMPS FRESH PIECES UPDATED EVERYDAY Hello all users am selling dumps usa only skimmed fresh".
There may be a few other newcomer bans (I think we had one guy register just to send porn PMs), but rereg or spambot applies to 99% of them.
