A much better sequel would be Norm Goes South, where Norm of the North discovers he has a long lost brother who was raised by penguins in Antarctica, and goes there to fight the villain from the first movie who has plans for a Disney World-style park at the South Pole (makes as much as sense as condos on an icecap.)

A cute animal turns out to be very violent... where have I seen that before... almost like I saw it in a movie last year... about pets in a city or something...

It feels like that movie was made just because "Secret Life of Pets" did good or thought that people these days will throw money at movies similar to what "Secret Life of Pets" did.

The Nut Job 2's TV advertisements say that it's worth watching because Jackie Chan as a fighting mouse was in it.

(I didn't know The Nut Job 2 was being made until I saw an TV ad mid-way of it and saw the name Jackie Chan, I was like "Jackie Chan is in this movie?? lol)

So yeah, It's a CA$H grab movie.

Neat, I wonder how low it can go now lol.

CA$H-Grab movies like this should usually get low ratings in Rotten Tomatoes.

I mean seriously, the second movie's only "hook" was Jackie Chan.

I feel also the first movie's hook was that the main character was colored purple, kinda like "Highlighting" someone in the movie so that the audience "focus" more on him.
