After months of work, I am finally ready to release my new hack to the public. If your looking for a whole new experience, you won't find it here. The aim of this hack is to incorporate all the features from the gba version of the game, but without the screen crunch, shitty music, or washed out colors. Beyond that, I've also added in a few other features and some graphical changes of my own. Don't be alarmed, its nothing drastic.

Features list;
-Green Mario has mysteriously disappeared

-Dragon coins, power ups, lives, and Yoshi coins save over power cycles.

-Beating any ordinary level for the first time brings up the save prompt, but just in case you beat all the levels without all the coins, re completing any ghost house also brings up the save prompt.

-That nifty progress screen from sma2 is available, just hit select on the overworld to see it!

-After you free a different color Yoshi in star world, he becomes available in top secret area and in places where you'd normally find regular Yoshi. You just need to have the right power up to get him.

-Certain graphics have been replaced with their Mario Maker equivalents.

-All level changes from SMA2 have been ported, however adaptations related to the GBA's smaller screen size were ignored, because unneeded on the SNES.

-And more!

Download the patch from here.

Apply it to a clean smw USA rom with a header.

I have no way to get screen shots with my retro pie, so if you can take a few screen shots while your experimenting with the new features and post them here it would help me out a lot. Special thanks to lui from smwc for letting me use his hack as a base for my own, you can find his hack here (https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=88187)

What? You can take screenshots in emulator!

I should be able to, but it just doesn't work. The screen shots don't save to any folder on the device. I will eventually get this fixed, but I'm kinda busy with other things, like this.
Ah you did finish this, can you kindly remind me of the changes you made?
Edit: Nevermind. Didn't see the spoiler.
I had permission to use lui37's rom as a base. But may I use yours?

Sure, though be warned there are a few custom graphics. There are custom enemies in the 2 snow levels, keys and doors, Mario's hat, one of the koopa kids has his proper hair (don't remember which one), Yoshi has green arms, and Bowser is properly colored. Two player mode is also completely removed.
hm, ok maybe I'll save the permission for another hack. Thanks for pointing these things out.
UPDATE: 3rd version is now available!

It's a small update, but now when you hit start on the over world it brings up the save prompt. I can't access lunar Magic right now, but if somebody could open the patched rom in LM and make it so beating a level doesn't activate the save prompt, I would be ecstatic. It's a very easy thing to do, I just don't have a computer currently.
what the hell is an xdelta file?

It's a different patch used. Think along the lines of the dreaded IPS file. I've seen it once for an NES ROM hack, never seen it in a SMW ROM hack, I remember both this and .ppf were used in SM64 hacks before.

My guy Mega.co.nz is pretty bad (why do I need to wait 5 minutes to download a BPS), use the File Bin to upload the patch and use Floating IPS to make your hack a BPS, otherwise the SMW Hacks section will reject the XDELTA patch or IPS Patch.

Oh, ok. Is there a bps patch creator for Android or online? I don't have a computer at the moment.
This one should work: http://media.smwcentral.net/Alcaro/bps/

I need something to create the patch, not apply it.
What he linked is exactly what you want, lol.

how do you create patches with it. It's asking for the bps patch and the rom, not the unmodified and modified rom.
You're right, I actually never knew that it's only for applying patches. Strange!
Sorry, not sure there's an actual online BPS creator, then.

try borrowing a friend's or relative's PC or laptop and use Floating IPS to make the BPS patch on any of them.

i'm not sure how to exactly use an xdelta file to patch the SMW ROM as I'm used to using either IPS or BPS to patch an SMW ROM.

I could try and use a school computer, though I don't know if they'd be ecstatic about somebody using a school device for gaming let alone piracy. All of the people I know who have a computer are a bit... cautious... and don't want me downloading things to them.

You use it the same way you use a bps file, just with a different program.

and what kind of program that would use xdelta patch files? remember, I DO use Windows PCs (a custom built desktop PC with Win7 x64 and a laptop with Win8.1 x64), along with a majority of us here AND I'm used to using tools like Lunar IPS or Floating IPS on my computers.

wish there was a program for creating & patching BPS files for platforms other than linux/mac/win but currently there are none.
This??
