The Sky Chase theme fits well for a sky level like this! #smw{:TUP:}
Thanks, MKDSMaster. I thought so too. It's actually the music that inspired the level.

COCOA CASTLE

We've FINALLY reached the sixth castle.

A mild gimmick for the first room

Here's one of those explosive platforms.

In the second half, Albatosses will drop bombs on you. These aren't Bob-Ombs. They're just bombs. They explode on contact, which can destroy your footing.

Bowser does drop Bob-Ombs, and you have to kick them back up at him to damage him. It's not particularly easy to do, but a sixth boss shouldn't be too easy, should it?

SUGAR SNOWFIELD MAP

I couldn't think of a more appropriate time of year to start working on an ice world...unless you live in the southern hemisphere, where it's summer right now.
That looks pretty awesome. I'd have never thought of sugar snow. #w{xD}

I just loved that sugar-y snow, Gamma! LUL

Also, I'm from the Philippines, so no snow for me. D:

Something that you SHOULD even try: Thin Tofu Brownies.
Next thing ya know, they'll be saying I've gone soft. Morph, knock it off.
Ha ha ha! Would you like to make any other comments about my place being in the kitchen?

No snow here in Brazil too, so... meh.

Talking about the OW... I liked the decorations, mainly, the landscape being a close second. I'm a bit bothered by the fact there's one dominant land palette and all, but... it's just a nitpicky opinion of mine. Feel free to ignore it.

LadiesMan is a ladies' man,
Eevee is cute;
Noivern can shatter eardrums,
and beware, Major Flare blinds you.

It's high time I finally dusted this thread off and started posting again. For those who haven't been following my Twitter feed, I've finished up the first three stages of Sugar Snowfield, the seventh world of this hack.

SUGAR SNOWFIELD 1

Here, only the ice blocks are slippery.

This level introduces the pipe-dwelling Ptooie Plant. Walking ones may appear later.

These Snowkeys are a little faster than their Pokey cousins.

VIDEO

SUGAR SNOWFIELD 2

In this level, the main gimmick is this deep snow, which acts like quicksand, with the exception that sprites can walk on it.

Looks like the Hammer Bros want to play in the snow too...or just pelt Luigi with hammers.

Sometimes, it may be in your best interest to just sink into the deep snow. There may be hidden goodies.

SUGAR SNOWFIELD 3

Bullet Bills? Yeah, but these ones freeze you in place if you touch them. There'll be no Bullet Bouncing here!

There are also a few kickers hanging out here. Good thing they quickly run out of ammo.

It's pretty hard not to get iced here.

I don't think what Sno'key looks like in that hack, but personally suggest you can draw a better Sno'key like this:

Otherwise, good level, tho.

Ditto!

It would be much appreciated if hidden pipes and collectibles were somehow visible through the snow, in the form of a faintly visible grey/blue silhouette or something. I don't want to end up digging down through snow only to not get anything useful from it.
Coins over the snow can indicate secrets within. The main inspiration for this level came from 5-1 in New Super Mario Bros. DS, which had a similar deep snow gimmick.

Anyway, Sugar Snowfield 4 is now complete.

Remember my CLDC 2018 level? This level uses the Venus Frost Traps I rigged up for that level.

Naturally, there are Ice Bros here too.

Try to hold onto your Fire Flower, there are treasures frozen in the ice.

Watch your aim here. Some of the ice blocks contain Munchers.

Looks great! can't wait to play this!

I love the texture of the ground you used here. Is this custom or perhaps vanilla?

Also, I love Decoy Blimp's version of Vanilla Lake from Super Mario Kart.
Bonjourrrrrrr, ya cheese-eating surrender monkeys!
