Editing the overworld map's status bar in SMW?

Hey guys.. I was wondering...

How can you edit the overworld's map status in SMW? I tried saving it with an ExGFX file in Layer 3's Submap, and it still gets the glitched graphics.

Are you using Layer 3 ExGFX on the overworld (like, actual graphical ExGFX, not the tilemap)? If so, make sure that when you opened the submap's Layer 3 for editing, that you actually selected that submap in the "Layer 3 Tilemap to Load" box. Since ExGFX is submap-specific, it will does actually matter which one you pick there.

Alternatively, if you already had the glitched graphics on the border prior to editing it (due to editing GFX28 or GFX29), then you probably didn't actually set the Layer 3 correctly. Even after saving it to a tilemap ExGFX file, you have to actually set it on the submap in the #lm{l3gfxby} menu (under "bypass Layer 3 tilemap")

I recommend you use Terra Stripe for editing it, considering it's a Layer 3 image. If you want to move counters (or add/remove them) then there's a patch for that.
But a word of warning though, Terra Stripe's GUI isn't the best, so it could take you a while.

Uh, don't use Terra Stripe.

Lunar Magic has its own built-in Layer 3 editor now which is easier to use and more versatile. Terra Stripe isn't really necessary for anything anymore.

Well, Terra Stripe has more images editable than LM (at least I think lol). I use TS.
