Graphics & Related Topics - Announcements

As was announced a couple of months ago, we (staff and helpers) have been working on a dedicated forum for discussion, showoff, help and education on Custom Graphics for SMW Hacking, in the style of our Custom Music and ASM & Related Topics forums. We're proud to announce that the forum is now officially open to the public!

Graphics & Related Topics Forum

Question: So, what kinds of threads are welcome in there?
Answer: Any SMW Graphics-related personal showoff thread, if you're constantly working on tilesets or spritesets for release or not; and also SMW Graphics-specific problems that normally would fit more in a dedicated forum than in our SMW Hacking Help forum, which is more oriented towards Lunar Magic and other basic issues.

As for stickies, you'll find that we now have Graphics Requests and Graphics Rips Showoff threads, and that we've moved the existing Original Graphics Showoff Thread from Works in Progress and updated it to support palettes and HDMA gradients as well. We'd also like to introduce everyone to our little hub for Custom Graphics introduction and education: The Workshop™: all you need to know about custom graphics! - where you can find links to useful tools and tutorials, and tips for making your own graphics and palettes!

So does this mean people are going to be able to get help in learning how to do pixel art?

And does this mean that the graphics section will be a lot better? $#wario{-_-?}$ $#wario{-_-?}$ $#wario{-_-?}$ This is actually amazing for the people who need the help

I feel like I wanted something like this but I just didn't know tbh. This could be really helpful for those who are into making graphics and whatnot

graphics with bad optimization/palettes and minor edits being accepted among other things, although it's understandable why an overhaul hasn't been done yet
