| Description: | This layer 3 is based on the album cover of The Beatles tenth studio album, Yellow Submarine. I would like to credit FedoraFriday for giving me the idea to make this. This is not an exact recreation of the submarine displayed on the cover, but it bears a marked resemblance.
It wouldn't look out of place in either a water level or a sky/cloud level.
While it is NOT required, it is recommended you use the Separate Status Bar Palettes patch.
This uses colors 5-F on the Palettes 0 and 1, meaning it overwrites part of the background colors too; caution is advised when deciding to use this layer 3 as it can mess with existing palettes. |
Removal Reason(s):
- Don't make the outline of background elements black, that makes it look like the player can interact with it as if it was part of the Foreground, which isn't the case here.
- You forgot to mark the back area color before exporting your palmask, like this.
Lastly, I'd like to suggest to try adding some shading to it. I know it's layer 3 and that may turn out impossible, but I think it's worth a try, since it's looking a bit too plain and simple (albeit colorful) as it is right now, even for SMW standards.
