I'm down with this but this is partially because I have a boner for SM64 (this does not include the hacking community sadly) and also I have nostalgia goggles for クッパのたにのスター (Brutal's warpstar and power cap stage, secret exit was getting one of the 100 coin power stars from SM64)

Whomstever makes the level design closest to "Yoshi's Island or SPP, but better" wins first place
Whomstever takes the collectathon concept and decides to turn it into a fucklong boring-ass stage gets DQ'd

@Chihaya, #4 is pretty bad because it becomes a contest of ~80 submissions that are all the exact same level, especially if it's vanilla. There's only so much room for creativity when you're perfectly recreating an existing level

#17 requires smwcentral being a place where people are capable of designing longform levels that aren't boring, but there's just no way that's happening.


I like 3, 8, 14, 15 and ESPECIALLY 21

4 as long as we ban SMB 1-1. I'll make SMW's Yoshi's Island 1 and ignore the "other game" part
7 because yay kaizo
9, 15 and 16 because those Kinds of Thing can be done well even in 24 hours and are rare (espcially good water Levels are) so they're fresh and probably fun to play.
14 because I have a Level prepared for thatit reminds me of that one SM64 Level and maybe afterwards I'll understand that one Tip we have/had that says "test your Level without sprites first"
8 and 10 because these have that nice (direct in 8, Content-Limit-wise in 10) maximum length that ensures the Levels made in the contest are actually playable
21 because that only happened in one single hack I know as of yet even though I hate the originals' Level design tbh
