What game enemies do you hate the most?

What is your most hated enemy in a game? For me it's Mega Man's Sniper Joe. All of 'em.

I also despise SMW's Fishin' Boo (ya dont say), SMB's Cheep Cheeps (both swimming and jumping, bloopers are more friendly), SMB2's G(r)ay Snifits and Super Metroid's Space Pirates.

And Moblins. Kill all Moblins.

Shout outs to the Batmandrills and Frostburns (Dragon Quest 2) and the Cockatrices (Romancing SaGa)

Even if I exclude bosses I could not pick just 1:
-Hammer Bros. in SMB and Lost Levels
-Gun turrets in N: the Way of the Ninja
-Alien controllers and Gargantuas in Half Life 1
-Wild Pokemon that use self-destruct or explosion
-The rotors in Enigma. I tend to skip most levels that have these (the levels can be played in any order)
-Anything that makes you have to button mash

- Winter Lanterns in Bloodborne. They inflict Frenzy which does damage equal to 75% of the max HP meaning if you've taken more than 25% damage you're pretty much dead!

- Any type of dogs in Dark Souls / Bloodborne. They're too fast and dodge just about anything you swing at them.

- Red Giants in Final Fantasy 15. They are resistant to almost everything you throw at them.
The worst part is when you fight FOUR of them in Costlemark Tower!
Any enemy ever that relies on unpredictable movement patterns and unpredictable attack patterns.

For platformers, this goes to:
-SMB1/LL Hammer Bros. No amount of practice will prepare you for the hell that's these enemies.
-Lakitu. Lakitu has got to be the biggest troll in the entire Mario universe. No matter what universe he's part of, he'll screw with your head. He'll snipe you randomly in the classic platforming games, and he's deceptively accurate at it too. In SM64 however, especially in romhacks, he'll show up out of nowhere and snipe your jump by just existing. He doesn't even need to throw a spiny at you to do this too.
-Fishin' Boo. This is basically Lakitu if he was dead. Maybe he should've been better off being left alive. RAGEEEEEEFKLGHEDTGLJEKHFTDDKHGEIEHTIETHEITFUKKKK.

For RPGs, this goes to:
-Any regular, encounterable enemy who has access to instant death or petrification, and appears in groups. I'M LOOKING AT YOU FF1 COCKATRICES!
-Any enemy in a game revolving entirely around capturing or gathering that has a sacrificial move. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, POKEMON, WITH YOUR GEODUDES AND ELECTRODES!
-Extremely evasive enemies for no rhyme or reason. See Also: EVERY ENEMY IN FF6 MT. ZOZO
-Any enemy that relies on RNG in general, either through dodge rates or crits. I'm looking at you, EVERY F'ING SWORDMASTER AND BERSERKER TO EVER EXIST IN EVERY FIRE EMBLEM EVER. ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH WO DAO OR KILLER WEAPONS.
-Boss-In-Mob's-Clothing. If you're going to make a regularly-encounterable enemy that has the potential to party-wipe me, at least make it fairly obvious. I don't mind if it's an extremely rare encounter, but if you're going to field this enemy under a normal encounter rate, then whoever designed this is a goddamn troll. See Also: Greater Mantis from FF6.

TL;DR I'm not a friend of RNG, and RNG is not a friend of mine.

RomaSaGa has em worse considering petrification was the sole status effect that didn't go away post-battle in the SNES/WonderSwan version

Not sure about Minstrel Song I still need to play that one lol

FF also has Gold Needles, Esuna and Stona at your disposal so it's less of an issue
HackPortsASM"Uploader"

While you can buy Gold Needles before encountering these things (you dont get Stona until far into the game, and Esuna doesn't exist in FF1), there are still several other problems.

-Cockatrices can appear up to 8 at a time.
-They are likely faster than you.
-They can stone you more times than you can remedy said stone status.

Every battle that involves at least 5 of them or more is basically russian roulette. It's not entirely out of the ordinary to be party-wiped by them on your first encounter with them.

SMB3 was the only game that made Lakitus annoying. In SMB1 he was supposed to act like that, but a bug in the code made it not happen. In fact, World 4-1 is pathetic, you can keep moving and he won't even hit you once. SMW's was SMB1 but you can take his cloud.
I do agree the Fishin' Boo was a total mistake as it's so janky that the fire thing can teleport into your face killing you instantly if you're small.

SMB1 Hammer Bros. for obvious reasons; it's like Touhou Mario before Touhou Mario was Touhou Mario

I also hate dealing with wild Pokemon, which really applies to a lot of different characters that are "enemies" but at least I remember to buy a shitton of Repels so that's a thing

This is an enemy from Star Ocean 2 called Miel128. It lurks in the deepest levels of the Cave of Trials, the super difficult bonus dungeon you can only access after reaching the very end of the game. This five dollar fuck bucket is the worst. They come in groups, they are super fast, and can attack rapidly. Their stats are insanely high. A party full of level 200+ characters can be wiped out in seconds by these things. There are no save points in the CoT, so this means losing lots of progress (if you have gone straight through without exiting the CoT on your first go, you could lose dozens of levels, millions of Fol, scads of awesome loot, hours of your painfully finite time on this earth, and have to refight as many as nine very hard bosses all over again... as well as redoing all of the rather hard trials you have to overcome to even fight the bosses.

Oh yeah, and they are random encounters.

Chapter Two: Land of No Shame
Hmmmmmmmmmm, let me think...

DOLPHINS
"Blasted!"
I've got some! Uhh... how about those f**king Big Berthas from SMB3. Now I don't believe at all that SMB3 is satanic like the AVGN said, but Big Bertha in those above water levels! Now that's the culmination of the Devil's anus!
Also quite a few enemies from SMW2 Yoshi's Island I really despise, Like those Gusty things! Oh God! I don't know what it is about those Damn things but whenever they appear on screen, I would try to kill literally every one of those little craps that pops up and flies at you!
Almost all the flower related enemies I loathe as well, All these enemies are just so pretentiously smug! It just makes it the more satisfying to kill these f**kers, But those flower ones that shoot their circular petals, You cannot kill and I f**king hate that! Also all the enemies that eat you, those suck as well! That's the huge drawback to Yoshi's Island for me is it's transformations and several eradicable, indestructible, smug and obnoxious enemies!
And that snow planetoid b****rd from SMG2 with his s**t eating grin I also hate. the Whisps (The fly Badnik) from Sonic 2 are also pretty obnoxious. Flying at you when bouncing out of the water at Act 2.
Well... that's all I can think of!
those monkeys from emerald hill zone from sonic 2
i play as fiery boi in team defense phort two

I have to agree, those things are the worst, especially if you're trying to get 50 rings for a chaos emerald.
*incomprehensible screeching*
Those moblins from Ocarina of Time at Sacred Forest Meadow... jeez, they were a fucking hell.

Slimy little piles from Earthbound were also annoying af, god damn i hate those.
the entire game of super mario sunshine. everything about it. i guess if i had to pick a certain enemy from the game it would those annoying green-eyed things from gelato beach
Hey, what's up! I'm Nyantendo.

Asterons from Sonic 2. The Shellcrackers and Slicers never really gave me a hard time for some reason, but I recall always having a hard time moving out of the way of the Asterons' projectiles even though I knew their pattern.

also the FOEs on the last few floors of Persona Q's final dungeon. If you weren't fighting them then that whole area was insane in terms of difficulty.

Any Morrowind player is familiar with Cliff Racers. They're flying enemies that make a silly sound and become more and more common as you level up. They're not too tricky to deal with, but they can be really annoying, and if you're not in the mood to fight them, you'll quickly get swarmed. When you do want to fight them, they'll sometimes decide to take forever with their descent, so you're best using ranged attacks.
