Happy C3 Everyone!!

Anyways I decided I would do a small demo for Project Micro.
It features level 1-1 Grassy Grotto and its spooky counterpart.

There a lot of things that need tweaking and editing so it may seem rough in some places but its totally playable.

I hope you enjoy a small teaser of what the full hack will be like.

Shout out to Vitor & Tob for helping me out with testing. :O

I have nothing else to say now. Huh...
It's always refreshing to see that peculiar style in all of your hacks present in this one as well. I'll have to give it a try.
I've played this demo and i really liked it, the art style is pretty nice and i really liked the level design, i'm looking froward to see more of this in the future.

Not a true fan of the style, but I get hyped whenever I see something this different from SMW such as what you have here.
I'll probably give this demo a go, it looks very cute.
Just finished playing this and I had fun! At first it felt weird that you can't jump high but when you stomp on enemies you jump a lot higher but I figured out that it's intentional when I replayed the level. The style you're going for is really nice, for both graphics and music choices, and I'm a fan of that little plot haha.

I hope to see more of the hack in the future, it was enjoyable even though there was only one level!

While the graphics are low, I guess that's what the game is.
It's better to have good gameplay.

This looks weird but so adorable that I wanna try it based solely on that! I have no idea what to expect but I don't need to because it's a cute. I'll give proper feedback once I try it!

This was fun to play but I couple things I noticed which could be a little better is if you gave a couple extra pixels on jump height so you can clear some of the obstacles that look like you should be able to clear without issue

And second is it possible to make the wall jump able to jump on the first frame instead of having to wait a second before you can jump off? You get the wall cling animation on the first frame but wall jumping doesn't work right away.

I took your advice Ninjia Boy and made it so Moop can clear those ledges easy.
Moop now has a little extra jump height but he still feels good to play with if not better now.

I might showcase some teaser stuff I am working on later on. :P

Either way this showcases level 1-2 Treetop Twirl.
You use the SMB3 Nut Platform to get around the level.

The silhouette image is a test level to showcase how the silhouette levels will look in the hack.
Moop's eyes will stay white so you can see where he is against the dark environments.
OMG! That's really amazing hack. Though at first I had a lot of problems with wall jumping. At first long climb I felt like 50 times. It's not the easiest thing in the universe. So for first playthrough I used savestates. Shadow World was tough. But the second savestateless playthrough I did on my first try and it gave me a lot of satisfaction.

I was replaying this level few times. For fun I did 2 runs with key back to door the same way I found the key in both directions. Both ways are possible. Also is it just me or throwed objects fly higher in this hack? You can only get stuck by throwing key on the wall on the left. But who would do that?

I love graphic. The only thing that I didn't like is that moon look very similar to dragon coins. I think changing color of the moon would help.

And out of curiosity, above very first bouncing ball enemy in the level in right wall near ceiling there is 1 tile hole. Is there any purpose for that?

Anyways I got pretty motivated this C3 after seeing all the comments and such so I made a new level.

Update. I finished level 1-2 Treetop Twirl.
The level focuses on these platforms you can jump on to move to the RIGHT.
If you hit them from below however they move to the LEFT.

The level also focuses on having more places to Wall-Jump so you get used to it.
The next level will be taking place underground so expect a nice change in scenery.

I'm thinking the next demo will a be a full World 1 demo with 11 levels in it total. :O
The new level looks good so far and I can't wait to play it when you get the next demo, one question I have is how often do the dark levels appear is it like one per world or is it a lot more common?

Thanks. I feel pretty happy with the level. Dunno if its just the colours or something. O.O

As for the Dark Levels I'll reveal they appear only once per world.
The levels on the map will be red just like in SMW.

The difference is that they'll appear on levels like this:

1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 6-6 7-7

Just for fun but also so that they can get harder and harder as they'll be found later and later in each world.
