Hello there, I'm RussianMan, and this is a remake of this (sorta) old thread.

Why I did that is because since I'm new leader, I want to have access to first post and have needed stuff in here.

Anyways, this is Super Mario Lost World, a collaboration hack (previously team hack). It's a vanilla-ish hack which is aimed to be sort of SMB:TLL but for SMW. Which means

-Graphics that feel vanilla (And under that I mean no ExGFX, only GFX that comes with baserom)
-Very hard level design
-Stuff like that

Progress? A decent amount of progress were made, but there's still a lot to do.

I'll show some pictures of some levels we made've so far:



Anybody can participate in this collab, just claim something, don't forget rules and you're good. Oh yeah, rules.

Updated rules, copied from SMLW discord server:
1) Make levels hard. Hard doesn't means unfair, so you should know boundary between "challenging" hard and "frusturating" hard.
2) You can do whatever you want with level design, but preferably something traditional. Unique gimmicks are nice to have once in a while, so don't go overboard with them.
3) Only GFX that comes with baserom is allowed to use. No ExGFX. No dynamic sprites gfx. GFX Bypass is allowed.
4) No Custom Palettes, with lunar magic's palette editing, uberASM or otherwise. No HDMA.
5) No Custom Blocks.
6) Custom Music is allowed.
7) Custom sprites are allowed. Preferably sprites that "feels vanilla" (like minor modifications of original sprites or something).
8) UberASM is allowed to use as long as it doesn't breaks any other rule.

That's basically it, I hope I didn't forgot anything.

I mean replaced GFX in game counts as vanilla. They're not ExGFX, they're just replacements. It's kinda confusing. I know. (E: I edited it)

@ExONNightZ Thanks for interest! First I apologize for being dumbass and forgetting to update first post to include spreadsheet link for claims. Thankfully nobody claimed it, so it's yours! Just don't forget rules (which I also updated). New baserom isn't ready yet, so I'll provide temporary baserom for now.

There's a bit of the hack with the snake block that looks like part of my level from vldcx looks good so far.
I remember joining the project and canceling my claims because I've done nothing for it. These days were good.

Anyway, I'm gonna join again and PM you with a new level I'm gonna claim. I joined one collab not so long ago, but I won't be contributing to it as of now because its author must regain motivation and they don't mind others as for now. I'll contact you when I finish my entry for VLDC11!

Glad to hear you still want to help!

Meanwhile we're reworking Radical Secret 1. Previously it was water level, now it's both water (normal exit) and vertical (secret exit) level. Though secret exit isn't secret, because both paths are avaiable from the start. Here's my portion, which is a vertical level.




It includes bullets you have to bounce on to progress and use of cape soar.

Also updated baserom in first post, fixed one particular enemy that caused crash, but otherwise it's a minor update.
