Honestly, I think they should have had the 4 characters from metal slug join the battle over Terry. Terry's fine, but when I think of SNK my first thought is Metal Slug, not KOF. Just having Marco, Fio, Eri, and the fourth guy I forgot his name as separate costumes like hero would have added a bit more variety imo.
Not to mention that Marco Vs Snake would be one hell of a matchup. As far as cool matchups, Terry vs Ryu seems alright, but since Terry looks like a really buff pokemon trainer, him vs Pokemon trainer also sounds pretty cool.
I wasn't as as I thought, Byleth is cool and three houses is an amazing game. When that new story DLC comes out for it, I can't wait to do a 5th playthrough.
Byleth seems like fun to play as, too bad they didn't drop him right after the direct, It's gonna be a painful week or so having to wait for him.

The new fighter was something quite unexpected to me.
Steve was quite a wild pick in my eyes, and I can't wait to see how he plays. Looking at the gameplay footage, he seems very unique and quite different from the other fighters. I can't wait to play as him!
I really do appreciate having him here. I think his visual design is hideous and it's the only thing that keeps me from loving him in his own right, though.
I think it was definitely a well-deserved spot. The most-sold game of all time and one of the most iconic video game characters of an entire generation.
To me it feels more like they just added minecraft in general rather than just steve, he looks pretty crazy.
I didn't really want steve in but at least it's really unique and the thought of new gameplay possibilities is kind of exciting. I just hope he isnt like super-annoying to fight against.
