Super Karate Foolish 64 (A "Brief Karate Foolish" project)

Explaining the story of this mod is kind of like sharing a simple, yet entertaining moment of my life.

The first time I played "Brief Karate Foolish" was like 2 months ago, and I just wanted to give a shot to this game for like 30 minutes since the game looked pretty funny, had pretty weird graphics and was also free.

Like I mean, come on, playing as a half-naked Japanese dude wearing a brief was pretty dumb, yet very amusing as you normally play more stronger and beefier people in fighting games, and not just regular dudes in briefs slightly showing their belly off a bit.

So, after 30 minutes of playing this game and cracking myself up on it, I just decided to uninstall this game as I just wanted to give it a shot.

And where it would be the end of the story for most people, it wasn't the case for me, as I did found out myself to install that game again after I and some of my buddies just wanted to play this game via "Parsec" for laughs and giggles.

And I actually discovered that even if the game didn't looked all that great (and also weird in a way), it actually felt pretty balanced and fun to play as the 9 different characters of the roster (My favorite must be Catherine Gomadare), and that, maybe by editing the game graphics, I could make it even weirder, funnier and also better to play on it !

With that in mind, I just decided to edit the textures of the game for a bit, as the way the game files are handled does make it very mod-friendly (Despite being a game optimized for Windows 98 !), and just thought to myself :

"Wouldn't that be amusing to see those dudes in SM64 ?"

And from that idea, I just started the project "Super Karate Foolish 64", which aims to give the game a Mario-like appearance, with custom stages based-off Super Mario 64, a brand new menu, custom backgrounds, and many more !

(This artwork is also available in 4K on DeviantArt)

I already uploaded the mod on GameBanana, but I honestly want this project to at least gain some popularity around the SM64 community, as it is a new take around editing games purposefully to make them look like at the same time a Mario-inspired game and his own title !

The project will be updated at anytime soon on that same GameBanana page, and it will be each time upgraded to look more like "The Best Way to Ruin your Childhood" type of game, by using Mario-like visuals to enhance the experience of playing as a japanese man wearing only a brief and fighting outside of Peach's Castle !

Anyway, hope you peeps will be laughing at the purposefuly ridiculous visuals of the said mod, and I'll just finish that one post with some screenshots of the mod !
