Since I've gone back into spriting (no real theme) I've made this thread for the random sprites I'll pick out and recreate in SMW.

Rocky Wrench:




The SMB3 rocky wrench with GFX from SMAS. More authentic than the pirahna plant clone currently hosted. Comes with wrench and SP3 GFX.

Fire snake:




The SMB3 fire snake from world 2. Like a souped up hopping flame. This makes use of the blank sprite tables like smwedit's fire chomp (the snake like path is easy to do with it).

Angry sun:




The SMB3 'angry sun'. Like SMB3 it stays in the same position relative to screen, has a cfg option for the screen to become angry after and moves in an actual curve.

Kuribo's shoe with partially working powerup:

Don't submit this to the custom sprites section. Only when I'm done with this I'll submit it myself.

From now on I am using xkas to assemble my sprites, you need Romi's spritetool for this.

this should be a remake of rocky wrench(in sprite section there is already)! good, but for the bone maybe was better that this rocky launched was the dry bones's bone.

but naturally only you know what you did. Great job.
for the wrench is enough change thlemaps.

Thanks. The wrench is just two 16x16 tiles so it's easy to to swap in a new tilemap.

Coming up next is the fire snake seen in http://www.smb3.com/enemies.shtml

It will use the 'extend sprite tables' that the firechomp uses.

I thought there was already something like that on the site... Maybe I'm just getting confused with the Hopping Flame. Anyway keep up the excellent work.

The hopping flame in SMW is like a toned down version of it. Don't remember seeing a version hosted here.

Hey, there isn't that many custom sprites left from SMB.3 to do. Even though some need re-doing.

I fancy some bosses from SMB. 2 (which I doubt will happen) as everyone will overuse them.

lwares: I plan to do this and the kuribo's shoe, then there's not much left really. Regarding that:

After those two, I'll just make random sprites from whatever.

Oh, I like using the shoe. You can get some more air from it and hop on enemies which aren't normally stompable.

Really nice work there. Though the only real sprite I'd like to see is the Fire Snake.
