Custom Sprite hurts Yoshi with no contact

I asked about this in another thread but it wasn't really related to the question I asked in the title so I thought I would post it as it's own thing. I used a custom friendly mole sprite and I have been tweaking it to make it a new custom sprite. I have gotten everything to work but for some reason it won't let you ride Yoshi. Instead, if you try to get on Yoshi while the custom sprite is on screen, it immediately makes Yoshi run the hurt routine. I have been trying for almost a month to figure out why this is and how to fix it. So far all I have found is that when I use the custom sprite clipping patch, whenever I set the height value is when this problem happens. If I leave it at 00, it wont hurt Yoshi, but the sprite becomes useless. I have tried everything I can think of with limited asm knowledge, but nothing has worked. Below is the sprite code, custom sprite clipping patch, and custom object clipping patch. Also, my ROM is an SA1 ROM and I am using ASAR and PIXI. I really need help with this one so please if anyone knows anything I would really appreciate it.

Literally any guess will at least help point me in a direction. I really want this sprite to work and I am soooo close.

Trust the Fungus.
I did some more testing and found that the problem is in the custom clipping routine. I used the same clipping on another custom sprite and the same problem happens. I also found that the problem only triggers if I set a height value. I don't know if that helps but it would help me a lot if someone with more knowledge on asm could look at it.
