Tip: When determining a time limit, remember that players won't be as familiar with the level as you are. If you normally complete the level with the timer around 100, others might run out of time on their first try.
Seriously: Congratulations to the winners. I loved the creativity of the entries that were produced this time. Also, I really enjoyed Gbreeze/Blue Leaf's, Daizo/Mellonpizza's, and MiracleWater's entries.
katrina and idol's level was super fascinating and impressive so that's cool. but man i expected daizo and mellonpizza's level to get higher; i really enjoyed it even though it left me wanting a lil more
i also really liked miraclewater's level but im not surprised by its placement it was p brutal
that was fun! well, I'm going to try not to take too long in my entry for a next contest, because that made it very difficult for me to start it (also that I was lacking in ideas at the beginning, as I said). Congratulations to all of you!

5th place?! That's like... the placement I least expected myself to be in. Anyways, congrats to the top 3, as well as everyone else who participated! A lot of these levels were pretty neat. It's also really nice to see my level-making skills have improved.
(Although... I don't recall updating my entry post-deadline. Weird.)

Ah, I knew something was off about that situation. So now I'm in 4th place. At least it's something to be a bit more proud of!
-10 penalty is just beyond ridiculous. Someone who didn't obey the RULES (submitting after deadline) gets a smaller penalty then someone who didn't test a rom on one of like 4 emulators (That wasnt mentioned anywhere mind you).
This also puts the entire judging process in question. I'm not sure what to think but it surely isn't something good.
I'm glad you guys didn't think Blue Cheese Leaf and I's level was too cheesy! The entries were all really gouda. Congrats to idol, katrina, fq, sariel, and wakana, Fetastic job. I was also a fan of pizza/daizo and miraclewater's levels, so I recommend those as well to anyone playing entries. Thanks judges as well for playing for your hard work.
Looks like Ivy didn't submit a level out of the fear that I'd destroy him once more like I did in OLDC judging. smh
This was a fun contest to judge! Glad I could help and sorry it took long than expected to produce the results.
It's actually because I don't know how to use any tools outside of the minor patches allowable for VLDC 👀
Why did I get last place? I thought you said my entry was good this time, Noivern. I still haven't read the comments yet, but I thought I would get somewhere in the middle. I thought it was better than my last entry, and I thought the concept would be good. Then, someone submitted after the deadline and they did better than me.
I'm just kind of really frustrated because I worked really hard on it. I tried to use another boss, but Kirby kept disappearing, and then I was rushed to make the music work so I just found the Urchin boss, and I thought it would be good. They're always really overcritical, and I cannot think of good plot so that shouldn't make me get a bad score. Also, why do I have to babysit the items? You only take them for a little while, but then they said they were too easy to find. I don't get what you mean. I know I probably could have done better, but I always get last place no matter how hard I try.
Also, I thought the timer draining concept would be good, but I thought it would be too hard if I made it drain too fast, and if I fixed the boo graphics, that would have made the spiky-soldier graphics get glitched. I didn't think the boo graphics were terrible.
