Anyways, these are sprite gfx I made all by myself in the hack me and Bio are making. I am new to spriting, so this was a big deal!
I am wondering what to draw next. Perhaps a prey mantis?

It is a video of the Intro for my hack called Super Mario: Universos Paralelos. The Title Screen is a BETA version and the Welcome song is replaced by Moonsong from SMWCentral Custom Music Section.

@Cramos240: To be honest, it isn't very good, you didn't put the facing bottom edges under the cliff and the tob edges at the bottom of the map are appropiated to use under cliffs/plateaus. I would suggest to check out this thread. It should help you.

@Troopa: Even though I've never played Touhou, your hack looks great! :)

@Carlos: Looks awesome! Your hack looks also really nice, keep it up!
It's got enough decoration, seemingly takes use of events, and seems to fit in with the original SMW.
Tough the area near the south of the castle is kinda bland, add, I dunno, a river in there?
And yes, the upper corner is ugly. Road seems to stop at the castle, so don't forget to add a road for the next map.


Well, I'm sure you guys have been wondering what happened to my original hack, Super Luigi: The Starry Race. Actually, I KNOW you have- I've been asked about it before. XD Well, I've lost motivation to work on Super Party World until someone, be it myself or some other person, finds a way to hack the object clipping routine for custom sprites so they can have a 32-pixel-wide hitbox for the ground. :( Yes, the only problem with my YI Door has discouraged me THAT much. :/ So in the meantime, I'll be working on The Starry Race! YAY! :D


I decided to go ahead and update this BG. I've updated another already, the Castle Interior BG, and I will also fix up the Peppermint Hill BG, too, since it looks odd at the moment.

So enjoy, and expect a few more pics eventually- I plan to work on this like crazy until I get a demo out. :D

Cramos: Oh yes, that looks nice. :D There's one error near the waterfall- I think that is one of the VERY few cases that using the square corner will be fine AND look natural- I suggest you use it there. ;) However, for the bottom, you just use the parts that connect to more mountain- you should use the pieces that have green in that "niche" instead of brown, and for the water above the castle, use the ones with blue there. Like you did at the bottom n the lake! :D Other than that... You may want to add more decorations at the bottom. Maybe put some of those hills down there. It WILL look better then, trust me. ;)

Few grains. The other one looks too quicksand-ish.
CP_foothills has been canned. Therefore, this space is once again blank.
Fewer has the nicer, brighter look, Lucario.
Your layout has been removed.
Hmmm... Well, just in case, I'll offer up two more comparison pics to help you decide, since the detail should be seen from all around to make a good decision, right?

Definitely Few Grains. Many Grains looks bad with all those dark colors against a bright yellowy-orange color.
I vote fewer grains. Also, add more shading and variety to the tileset as a whole.

I've never really liked the FG for Launch Octopus' Stage myself - it just clashes too much with everything, especially in your screenshot. The DKC BG and the Megaman FG do not work together, at all, and it just looks plain weird.

Also, the clouds in the new sky palette look awkward to me. I rather liked the green, myself. Eh. As for the level itself, looks decent, though it's really hard to "enjoy" looking at it with those graphics. I'd strongly encourage you to find a new FG, or BG.

Shading's not easy when you've only got FOUR COLORS to work with. I go for an odd style here. I honestly think it works with everything else in my hack. Oh, and as for variety... Who said the thing was finished? :P I show off my tilesets as I work on them, not when I'm finished with them. :o
