The castle background needs less crappy shading.

Gee, Boing, that's SO helpful. >_> [/sarcasm]

Did someone forget to finish the bridge or what?

:o Something's down there! And now it's more obvious that it can be broken! However, your weight will not break it. There may be cracks in it, but they're not big enough for your weight to break. However, fire might help with that... (Speaking of fire, look at the red crystal. Something's hiding there. :P And no, that WON'T be there forever- it's just for testing purposes.)

Even these boards are cracked! :O

Enjoy, I suppose. :/
<Adam> I feel like smwc is a prostitute now, because we put up a porn ad for money
First time I've posted or came here. That is nice Lucario, especaily those Luigi GFX. Can't wait to play your hack.
Great graphics Lucario, I just love the ExGFX from the first pic.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Lucario. Word's like "crappy" are not going to help anyone understand what they can do to improve. It is simply opinionated, and does not give any hint as to what is wrong with the object in question. Not only that, but many people would find that word to be offensive when used to describe their work.

An exmaple of helpful, constructive criticism:

"The shading on the bricks look a little too flat"

The above example informs the creator what is wrong with it, as well as what they can do to improve. At the same time, it is not offensive and sarcastic, nor is it sugar-coated praise.

To sum things up, "criticism" such as "The bricks look crappy" have no place in a community such as this. It is immature, and is not much better than outright flaming.
Lucario, they don't look that cracked. You need to look very closely to tell. Perhaps you might want to make one or two of the lines go further by one pixel. Also, at first I thought you would need to push some other things on it (consider it an idea).

EDIT: Never mind.... I forgot that this is 1/4 of the size it will be.
No one would visit the Fourth Sector thread, so I dicided to move the pics here. I wanted to show off a new fourth sector enemy. Information on it will be made soon at the wiki page of the Fourth Sector, so watch it:

Mario: Hmm, shortcuts huh.

Mario: Oh no, another Fourth Sectorian? What is it called?

And here are some screens of another secret level:

Mario: Unlit Candles and Lit Candles. Oh my, watch out the water. It'll knock me out due to how bad it tastes!

Mario: Layer 2? And a background? Looks like FPI isn't the only hacker doing this.

Mario: Oh my, to think that these were puzzling in Malodia, I never expected to see these blocks here.

Please comment if you like.

Here we go again. "Last Cave" from Cave Story.

You can get this tileset here.

Ripping is fun. ^_^
That certainly looks nice. Is it a fire temple or something?
It's not even close to Halloween, and already Christmas Sales are starting early!
Supertails, this does indeed look nice, but you might make the BG palette a tad darker, otherwise the colors are a bit too identic, which hurts my eyes. That may only be me though.
I play different games on Twitch, currently I speedrun Pokemon Gold or play some other shit, can also include SMW hacks. Check out my twitch!

Exits done: 45, Overworld: 85%
Play through Taomb Demo 3
Taomb is alive again. For how long I don't know. But it's "only" four more levels to go.

The "End of Demo" level.

That means the demo is near to be released?! :D

Nice idea, though.

@Supertails: This looks awesome, I can't wait to play the second demo of your hack!

@S.C.O.R.P.I.O.N.: This looks interesting, but why in the third screen there are water tiles on water tiles?
Supertails, it looks a lot like volcano. However, the rock slabs seem to perfect for either a fire temple or a volcano. Perhaps you ought to put a bunch of dents (maybe even connect with a few tile to make large dents)
WhiteYoshiEgg, it sounds right and looks good except that the 'l' looks like an 'i' in "www.swmcentral.net". I think it's because it leans over an 'a'. The 'h' has a similar dispostion, being shorter than the 'n'.

EDIT: I had just woken up when I posted this so, I've changed it. It was just out of habit of how I thought of things. Also, I would like to say I'm making a hack as you can see and it will star a hammer bro.! I've gotten some of the story all made up. The main theme will be the controls and, if I can make it long enough, the idea of most levels having 2 exits.

Yes. As my layout says, I've just got half a level to do, but there are many things I've yet got to fix. I hope the demo can be released in one or two weeks, but I can't promise anything.

I guess it's the BG. It looks kinda irritating, you should remove it S.C.O.R.P.I.O.N.

@Anti-matter Drone: WhiteEggYoshi? Huh? smwcentral.com? Yeah, I should totally ask my questions there...
Seriously, I don't think the l looks like an i (People can easily see the difference by looking at the real i), but maybe I'll change the h a bit.

If you go to smwcentral.com, you get led to porn. >_>

Anyways, It looks really nice WhiteYoshiEgg, I'll definitely be playing your hack. Keep up the good work! (Though you could make the edges of the paper a little rougher since they look like clouds right now.)
I know that the only thing that I show of my hack is the background of the first level... just for now, though. This may be its last change, I suck at making sea backgrounds...

This is how it was looking like before... Many people thought it was horrible...

...this is how the sea BG looks like now, completely revamped (err... almost completely revamped, I only changed the sea GFX). Also, the top of the sea is ExAnimated, it moves. :o

Please feel free to comment! ;)
I looks a lot better! There aren't any strange looking white patches. I think that you won't need to change it.
Thanks for the positive feedback, Justin Case (Anti-matter Drone). It's nice to hear that the background is better now. :)

Also, do you plan to show some screens of your hack? I'm curious to know how is it going to be...
