I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Lucario. Word's like "crappy" are not going to help anyone understand what they can do to improve. It is simply opinionated, and does not give any hint as to what is wrong with the object in question. Not only that, but many people would find that word to be offensive when used to describe their work.

An exmaple of helpful, constructive criticism:

"The shading on the bricks look a little too flat"

The above example informs the creator what is wrong with it, as well as what they can do to improve. At the same time, it is not offensive and sarcastic, nor is it sugar-coated praise.

To sum things up, "criticism" such as "The bricks look crappy" have no place in a community such as this. It is immature, and is not much better than outright flaming.

It's not even close to Halloween, and already Christmas Sales are starting early!

Supertails, this does indeed look nice, but you might make the BG palette a tad darker, otherwise the colors are a bit too identic, which hurts my eyes. That may only be me though.

Supertails, it looks a lot like volcano. However, the rock slabs seem to perfect for either a fire temple or a volcano. Perhaps you ought to put a bunch of dents (maybe even connect with a few tile to make large dents)
WhiteYoshiEgg, it sounds right and looks good except that the 'l' looks like an 'i' in "www.swmcentral.net". I think it's because it leans over an 'a'. The 'h' has a similar dispostion, being shorter than the 'n'.

EDIT: I had just woken up when I posted this so, I've changed it. It was just out of habit of how I thought of things. Also, I would like to say I'm making a hack as you can see and it will star a hammer bro.! I've gotten some of the story all made up. The main theme will be the controls and, if I can make it long enough, the idea of most levels having 2 exits.

Yes. As my layout says, I've just got half a level to do, but there are many things I've yet got to fix. I hope the demo can be released in one or two weeks, but I can't promise anything.

Anyways, It looks really nice WhiteYoshiEgg, I'll definitely be playing your hack. Keep up the good work! (Though you could make the edges of the paper a little rougher since they look like clouds right now.)

I know that the only thing that I show of my hack is the background of the first level... just for now, though. This may be its last change, I suck at making sea backgrounds...

...this is how the sea BG looks like now, completely revamped (err... almost completely revamped, I only changed the sea GFX). Also, the top of the sea is ExAnimated, it moves. :o

I looks a lot better! There aren't any strange looking white patches. I think that you won't need to change it.

Thanks for the positive feedback, Justin Case (Anti-matter Drone). It's nice to hear that the background is better now.

Also, do you plan to show some screens of your hack? I'm curious to know how is it going to be...
