Should I use Pixi or GIEPY?

Since my hack is a chocolate hack, I want to add custom sprites, but... There's Pixi and Giepy. Which one should I use?
RIP my friend's Ridley, he dropped it cuz I combo'd him a bit tol much as Mario.
Our current resources work with PIXI although we are switching to GIEPY soon™. As such, it's a good idea to chose GIEPY over PIXI. It also isn't that hard to convert a PIXI sprite to a GIEPY sprite, especially since GIEPY features PIXI-compatibility mode (the only problem which can happen is when custom sprites are spawned as their conversion is a bit more difficult).
Sorry to bump the thread, but on the same subject, is there a way to convert a GIEPY sprite to PIXI
Like trashkas does from RST to PIXI (although this is a conversion from old to new, and I'm asking from new to old, so I don't think there is, but whi knows)

Right now the only way is to manually change some things in the asm file (so you will need some asm knowledge). Since the modifications are quick and easy, if you tell me the sprite you want to convert I will do it for you.
In addition, the supposed Romi's Sprite Tool to PIXI converter isn't really a RST to PIXI because it actually changes the assembler to use: Old sprites were created for TRASM, an obsolete assembler which only has been used nowdays because no one wanted to update Romi's Sprite Tool until recently (Tessera aside). Because of that, PIXI has dropped TRASM support (not that most people would care of it ‒ we disallow TRASM sprites for quite some time before anyway). It isn't a true RST to PIXI converter, not to mention that PIXI is otherwise backward compatible with RST sprites anyway so if a RST sprite has been build for Xkas/ Asar in the first place, it inserts just fine with PIXI without any conversion (other than the Asar bugs but this applies to the latest RST which uses Asar).

A GIEPY to PIXI converter is more difficult because both tools handle shared subroutines differently (GIEPY uses subroutine calls with labels and PIXI macros), different subroutine names (e.g. the spawn sprite routine in GIEPY don't offset the position unless required but in PIXI they do), have different defines (e.g. GIEPY has extra defines for extra bytes) and handle custom sprites differently (group number vs. custom sprite flag and extra bit, although that isn't really a problem with the latest build). This makes a conversion between GIEPY to PIXI (or vice versa, in fact, if you don't opt for PIXI compatibility for GIEPY) more difficult or at least require more work (especially the subroutines). On the other hand, the only major changes between TRASM and Xkas/ Asar (aside from additions in the latter two) is that the former doesn't different defines and labels visually, only from the context whereas the latter two do use a visual clue (compare "DEFINE" and "LABEL" for TRASM and "!DEFINE" and "LABEL:" for Xkas/ Asar).
