After a long time I think I have finally found the confidence to make a thread for this stuff.

Users who are active on the Discord Server might know about the things I'm up to: I draw things! And after 2(?) years of developing at least basic drawing skills I think I'm finally able to make this thread. Most of what I draw is original due to personal reasons but if anybody feels like it they can give me a Character (OC or not doesnt really matter) that isn't too complex and I might draw them. I really don't want to assure anything.

(OC)Tomo (OC)Tobio (OC)Lunah Ribbon

I will give context and background to drawings that will be added here in the future. I'm not sure if people actually want context for the three original pieces that I put here when creating this thread, but if that's the case I will do so in a seperate post.

My main goal with creating this thread ontop of posting my stuff on the Discord Server is because of two things:
1) A somewhat sorted small archive for all my things for the future
2) Feedback

I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now if a few people on the Discord Server didn't help me on this journey. I hope for a lot of feedback from a lot of different people and I'm looking forward to the future of this thread.

Looking pretty nice, if a little flat. Of the three characters you're showing I like Tomo best, maybe because it's got just the right amount of shading. I also like the patterns on the floor; that's a pretty cool way to indicate depth! #tb{:)}

The way your drawings look (shapes, coloring, amount of detail), I think they'd go better with more fluid lines instead of the frayed, pieced-together ones you're using right now. You don't have to use the line tool or anything, just try and draw a line in one go and see how that looks.

Thank you for your feedback! To be honest, you should've seen my very old junk. In comparison to the ones I posted here they are the very difinition of flat. But I can see that there is room for improvement in this as well as many other aspects.

I used to draw a lot with very defined, clear lines. But it's really hard to do that with my current Drawing Tablet (it costed like 30 max.), because whenever I drag onto a Line for too long the tablet just stops sensing pressure what ends up being really tedious to properly work with.
I will probably look into more expensive and higher quality tablets around christmas though.

On another note,
check out the thing I did! A few weeks ago in the #showoff channel on the Discord Server SkywinDragoon told me that I could draw their character for further practice (because that's basically my goal in whatever I draw). So I did! Click here for an imagine Skywin drew of her for comparison.

I didn't draw her helmet because it looked too complicated for me to handle just yet. But I hope you people like it anyways!

While some people may find pieced-together lines a flaw, others might like them better than "more polished" art style. I'm one of those who think your works look good either way.

With helmet or not, Skywin looks pretty cute! What a shame I don't know her well.
How do you call an animation about cars? A car-toon!
