Read Only

I have Windows XP, every folder on the computer is marked as "Read Only," how do you get rid of that?
Right Click on the Folder

Go to Properties

In the "General Tab" There is a Box called Read only (and "Hidden" beside it)

Simply click the box, and it becomes non-Read only...

Although this doesn't ork on CD's... because once a CD is burnt, you can't edit the data...
thats exactly what I do but it just automatically switches back to Read Only. I cant get rid of it!
Some times it switch back, keep donig it. Some folders are by nature read only, its weird. Usaually I cheack whats in the folder is not read only or the folder will become read only, also most stuff on your c:/ drive is read only, dont mess with that stuff.
o_O

Well.. I just checked the Control Panel.. Nothing in Folder Options...

Do you have a "Limited Account" Like Guest User or something?

That might prevent you from changing files... o_O
Oh wait, I figured a way to work around the read only! Nevermind this thread now...

Hah, I feel stoopid...
