Description: This is a demo for my upcoming hack Shellz. As the name suggests it is based solely around shell tricks :) The demo includes 4 shell levels, a switch palace, and Yoshi's house. Hope you guys have a good time with it and I can't wait to hear some feedback!

I'm going to be rejecting this hack based on the current levels in the demo. Since this is a demo there is a good chance that the issue I have with this hack can be easily remedied.


This hack is just way too repetitive as is. Its the same few shell jumps over and over again with small variation. The hack starts off fine, but I feel like the ideas became exhausted very quickly and we get into a lot of the same tricks quickly

It wouldn't be so bad if this was the only case of repetitiveness. A lot of other tricks have the same treatment. (shell bump off 1f0, backshot off the wall into double bounce shell)


I don't think shell levels are bad I think they are fine when used sparingly... Kind of like water levels or any other level type for that matter. Most people wouldn't want to play an entire hack of water levels that had the same item swimming or precision swimming in every level.

That being said, I think there is a way for shells to be versatile enough to be the focus of a complete hack. Ex: knocking blue koopas out and bouncing on them, disco shells, etc. Also maybe less random things floating on 1f0 would be nice (springs and yoshi)
