Larry Boss Battle GFX issue.

I applied the non-dynamic podoboo patch to make Yoshi's GFX compatible with podoboos.

But I noticed in the Larry Boss room (level 1EB), the podoboos in there are messed up, but when I made an ExGFX file to add the podoboo tiles. For some reason the rest of the GFX for the entire room garbles up, but the podoboos appear correct.

I don't understand how to make this work.
screenshots are love,
screenshots are life.

Perhaps there's another patch that enables boss rooms to be edited? I'm not entirely sure, myself. I've never attempted to edit the original boss rooms.

I hate going to the trouble uploading screen shots.

Basically, when you press the red poison mushroom in lunar magic while on that boss room level, it will have

SP1 = 0
SP2 = 1
SP3 = 13
SP4 = 2

What I don't really understand is, why the boss battle uses those four slots when they are not the GFX for the level itself... when I copy/paste the podoboos graphics into GFX13 (using ExGFX), it only makes the podoboos graphics correct - but the rest of the graphics for the boss battle (and Larry) would be messed up.

The patch is supposed to re-map the podoboos globally, which means the podoboos in THAT boss room will be garbled, but when you try pasting the podoboos tiles into that GFX file (since they are now mapped to be there) the level's graphics messes up.

I'm assuming that the person who created the patch forgot that the Larry Boss room has podoboos in it. (Because it seems you can't edit the GFX in boss rooms without causing bad things to happen)

The boss battles override the GFX setting normally with some special values. Iggy/Larry/Reznor in particular use 00, 01, 25, 22.

Try this. If I recall, I believe Erik made an asar version but I don’t think it was released into the patches section so you’ll have to contact him on that for that version.
Major thanks to Suika Ibuki for layout!
