Winter 2018 Mosts - Information and Discussion

The voting page is a great update to the previous voting system, really nice job Telinc!

As a small critic, it would be good (maybe?) that the categories where no votes were casted doesn't show, so you don't have to scroll a lot in the voting pages (especially considering that there are some users with votes only in arround 10% of the categories or less). It's not a big deal though.

Also I'm glad I received some votes, which I clearly didn't expect because I haven't been so active here, but whatever. Thanks to those people!

I'll agree that it would make it easier to scroll through the votes, but they're also useful in knowing which categories you (or others) haven't voted in.
Last year, I was more active on this site than this year, but IMHO, it was more remarkable. I'm 100% positive that I'll get at least 1 brown trophy. Guess which one hehehe

Also, the new voting system is really an improvement over smth we had in past. Thank you so much, Telinc1!
I have a Discord server as well!

This Mosts system seems much better than having to make a post to vote. Good job to all involved. #smrpg{<3}#smrpg{<3}#smrpg{<3}

I made it display only the categories you've voted for. RanAS has a point, however, so I'll make the "Your Votes" section display all categories.
if i hit submit can i edit votes later or how does it work
You can edit your votes by going to the voting page normally. The votes you casted will still be there.
It is hard to decide who to choose, I hope I do not hurt anyone feelings at the end.
I hope someone understands what I mean

I just chose whoever I think fits a category and if they get upset then oof. Even if I vote people in a negative(ish) category it doesn't mean I hate them, just means I think they fit the category. At the end of the day it's just a silly online popularity contest, though it is nice to be voted for things.
Wait, when's the deadline to this event? I don't see it anywhere at all in the original post.
I have nothing else to say now. Huh...

It's on the event list, which is linked to.
Alright. It's time to rise and shine again... maybe...

Don't forget to vote me for "negative" votes... or not.

EDIT: Go ahead and pretend that I don't exist if you want to!
Casual reminder that voting one person for (nearly) every category is not allowed and will result in your votes being removed. I just did this for four people.

This was mistakenly not added to the rules in the OP, even though it was a rule in previous Mosts. I can't read. Edited the OP to clarify the point above. #smrpg{sick}
Was it? I never ran a Mosts, but I don't remember mass votes getting deleted, unless you mean C3 Mosts. I hope Hinalyte wins every category.

Not sure if I'm going to vote, I don't know the community anymore so it would be pretty messed up.
Mass votes were never deleted in prevous Mosts, just ignored when tallying votes. There's no easy way to do that this time without welcoming lots of abuse, so they're being removed instead.

EDIT: The threshold is pretty high. If you're voting normally but you voted for one or two friends a little bit more than others, you're fine. But if you're voting for the same person for 36 out of 45 categories, there's a problem.

Hi.
It's so good to see that the voting system has been updated. I might vote, we'll see, I really don't know anyone here anymore.

I remember trying to post the results for the 2011 Mosts, back when things had to be manually counted. I remember writing an essay-length post with really witty things to say for each winner/loser, and when I went to post, my token had gone bad and I lost the entire post because I didn't copy it to the clipboard like a normal person.

And then there was the trophy distribution system from Hell that was basically a text file with User IDs that got fed through...I don't know if it was a bot or Kieran...? And if the person writing the text file (usually me) got one number wrong in the User ID, the user's probably well-deserved trophy would get posted to the wrong user.

It's nice to see how much better the system is now. Awesome work!
The new voting system is brilliant compared to the last ones. Really good job @telic1! Also thank you for listening to us and hiding empty votes, so you don't need to scroll that much. #tb{:DD}

Several peoples' votes are questionable, but we have such persons every year. I will cast some votes, too, even if i'm barely active in the community anymore.

However i think, removing most of the bad categories (like most immature, least fun to talk to, etc.) is also a big plus for this mosts. It makes it more enjoyable imo, if there are only/mainly "good categories" to vote for #tb{:]}

Thank you mods, for taking users criticism serious eventually and for initiating the necessary changes. Seriously, thank you!!
