The background of the Mt. Metox from Star Ocean on Super Nintendo. Added palmask file.
Note: The background scrolling must be disabled.
So the graphics themselves look fine, but there are issues with the ExGFX file itself and the map16 as well.
For the graphics file:
Simply put, there are waaaay too many duplicate 8x8 tiles littered throughout all 3 files pretty much. This picture below is one of many. In order to prevent this I would suggest running whatever .png you have of the background through SnesGFX and choose the remove duplicated and flipped tiles options. This would ensure that no duplicate 8x8s go through, and it will free up some space in the file as well. It may be annoying to go through each 8x8 and put them in the correct spaces, but this is what we require of all of our gfx, regardless if they are original or ripped. The same goes for the map16 as well, which is the next issue.
For the map16:
Again, there are tons of duplicate tiles here as well. The highlighted ones are only some of the examples. the dark blue water has duplicates, the sky transition also has duplicates, as well as the grass and trees. You don't need to have the entire background laid out in the map16. This wastes a bunch of space.
The rip is nice, but having all these duplicate tiles is unacceptable. Once you remove all duplicate tiles in the ExGFX file AND the map16 you may resubmit!
