Requires Free Space: Yes
Bug Fix: No

Description: This patch can use up to 3 addresses of free RAM, so make sure they are actually free in your ROM if you choose to use them!

This patch provides two main features that affect the hurt routine, both which can be set to be controlled by free RAM:

1. The ability to choose to bypass the power-down routine and instantly kill Mario regardless of his current power-up status. (This is good for levels that require the player to keep a power-up the entire time.)

2. The ability to choose to follow the more traditional power-down routine, where Fire and Caped Mario powers-down to big Mario and then to small Mario. There is an additional option to alternatively give Mario the item in his item box instantly; this can also be set to be controlled by free RAM.

Make sure to read the notes so you understand what everything does! If you have questions about what exactly something does that is not clarified well enough in the notes, feel free to PM me.

Ok, I saw you correct the 'SMB3 Powerdown' feature. However, I'll reject this again. The reason? Your auto-kill option simply erases the hurt routine completely. I tested this particular setting with an interaction between Mario and a muncher... only to discover the muncher didn't hurt Mario at all, let alone kill him.

Consider revising your patch before submitting it again. If you have any questions, I'm always available to answer them.

I'm sorry, betalogic, I really am, but... I've tried to insert your patch, and?

Well, this happens.

That's the third time. I'll ask you to proceed fixing these small things as you're developing the patch; also, refer to what Tattletale said in a comment: instead of using three FreeRAMs as flags, why not use the conditionals as a bit field in just one? with the correct use of the AND opcode, you could do this easily.
