These patches are pretty neat, and the patches for the Bob-Omb on Fire, Push Yoshi, and Super Mario Maker Explosion seem really useful. I apperciated the mechanic to push Yoshi into tight areas in SMM, so I'm really glad it's now doable in SMW as well. And the Bom-omb patches will surely be useful for both normal and kaizo hacks.
Pretty much, good job here!
These patches are pretty cool. The "Bob-Omb on fire" definitely has some potential when it comes to creative level design. The "Fast climbing" patch seems pretty simple, but i think it could make several hacks much more convenient and therefore is one of the most useful patches out of your bunch as well.
The other patches are neat, too of course, but especially these 2 caught my attention! Thank you for releasing these!
- Little Yoshi hop:
Couldn't record it, because i have no idea about asm and don't know how to disable spinjumping, which is a premise for this patch.
- Super Mario Maker explosion:
Inserting this patch always gives me this error. Dunno how to fix that.
- Turn Block Bridge sound:
Why didn't i record a gif of this sound-patch?
Just experimenting with the SMM explosion patch!
I have yet to give the other patches a shot, but they all look hella interesting just from reading their descriptions. I like the SMM explosion the most~
I'm sorry for posting just now, I had trouble keeping up with everything on the past week.
The patches are pretty cool. They make small changes but yet they add a different touch in the SMW engine/physics and that gives a different feel when playing. Definitely we need more kind of patches like these because they add more variety to the game and a lot of people can use them. Plus they're low impact, seeing the patches the chance of conflicting with something else is very low.
Whenever you have more ideas, feel free to share them, either on the ASM Requests Thread or maybe some other appropriated topic which I don't recall SMW Central have one other than "Awesome Hacking Ideas". I have a Discord channel to people share ideas just to encourage more possibility of creative patches and variety resources and I guess it could work well there.
