Neat idea of a vanilla level!

Not much to say from these screenshots aside from maybe dial down the brightness of the palette a little bit? This is only a personal thing, so if no one else agrees don't worry too much.
And also I see castle enemies and some castle stone tileset. Will there be a castle sublevel in there somewhere???

Yep. In the second half.

yikes that red dirt is just...not pleasant to look at. would highly recommend changing it to something darker, or less saturated.
aside from that it looks okay, if somewhat empty.

Got some more screenshots to show:
Also I went ahead and changed the bg palette. Tell me what you guys think.

Must say, looks very nice, for a vanilla level!

I don't like how weirdly saturated the ground is compared to the rest of the palette. It makes it stand out in a not very good way.
As a tip I'd recommend you to tone down the saturation of the red ground.

I went ahead and changed the ground color:
How does it look?

It's definitely a bit easier on the eyes and fits the BG a little more. Nice work on your level so far!

Yeah, that looks a lot better now. It doesn't clash with the rest of the color palette and it suits the ice theme better.

The inside castle palette is super nice I like it a lot way to go. I'm kinda digging how diverse this level is and it fits your level's name.
But... CUTOFF (screenshot 2)

It's actually easy to avoid this cutoff. You can use ghost house tiles instead of the cement blocks.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile; I've been busy with College.
Anyways, here some more screenshots:

Nice to see someone who'll benefit from that deadline extension. I was concerned you forgot about your level and you didn't tell anything about the college.
Anyway, your aesthetics are kinda simplistic yet sweet. I like that gradient the most.

The deadline will most certainly help. Especially for playtesting since I was worried I would not have enough time for that.
Glad you like the aesthetics! --------------------
