Tip: Bad things to do in the title demo: Enter a door or a pipe, activate a P-switch or a star, complete the level, hit a message block, or die. These will either glitch the music, or force the player into an endlessly looping title level until they reset the game.
As long as every level in the contest has only one exit as guidelines force to, I'd be all in as well. It'd apply for the base ROM anyway. If there were a collab, I wouldn't imagine it not having opportunity of playing whatever level we want anytime.KLDC 2020 progress: 50%
We (or at least I anyway) just mean in theory if someone not officially involved with the project were to voluntarily throw together the entries into a single ROM for convenience. We all know that no all-out "collab" on the scale of VLDC 7-10 will be made, just to be cleao here Koops.
And would it really be too late to roll out something like that?... Sure there have been quite a few submissions already, but I would hope no one has has put any real effort into the overworld of their rom so they wouldn't mind updating their submission for the sake of convenience (but I obviously can't be speak for everybody) and it could save a lot of time on the part of the judges.
But on the other hand, it could also be a huge hassle and not worth the effort.
I'm 100% convinced there will be a compilation ROM, no matter what anyone says, but we're all about that level design right now innit.
Edit: After all this talk of patching out the OW, I might just start testing my level from address C5. Both immediate entry to the one level and a retry system. We can always add on switch palace levels and access to the OW once the main level is complete anyway.
