In other words just because you can Change the graphics, Make neon, and make custome enemies dosent mean your hack will be good. Plus if your gonna use your own music put good music. >_>

Um. For one, the music is way too loud. My sound was turned down to about 20% and I could tell it was still very loud. Two, don't use music that has cussing or offensive material in it.

For the level, it's repetitive and boring. The concept is okay, but you should work more on it instead of just having a long level where you jump on koopas the whole way. Additionally, Rex would be better suited for a Mario clone than koopas. Lastly, what are the the creatures that aren't Mario? You should change their graphics.
No. This is just stupid. Glitchy koopa GFX edit, boring, repetitive, hurts my eyes, ears, and other three senses. It counts as the big red text under the forum name I'm afraid.
Actually, I disagree SSN, which is why I'm reopening this thread. Not that I disagree with the fact that this needs a bit of work, because it does. It's just also this this certainly doesn't qualify as a crappy level by any means.

FalcoSSBM, while I personally am not offended by your choice of music, other people obviously are, so it may be a good idea to use SFW music. On the level itself, this is a really neat idea, as it deviates from the bog standard of levels by being quite abstract and cool.

The level is basically a straight shot, perhaps you can make neon green pipes to go with it, so you can access bonus areas and such? At least have a high and a low way.

The Mario-koopas are interesting, but some work could be done on them, like the aforementioned invisible koopas getting kicked out. The other blobby things are cool, but either leave those in and take the Marios out, or leave the Marios in and take those out. I personally like the blobby things better, but it's your call.

Overall, I think it's pretty spiffy, just needs some polish.
I has idea. why dont you make the mario clones those mini bowser toys? also why dont you make the koopas Luigis and when you jump on them there head comes off and they walk with no head until they reach there head (shell).

yes, i agree with tatrion (cant do that special letter, sorry man). while your other levels wernt very good, this is a VERY big jump for you. you should probably show SS instead of vids though.

Well, if you say so Tatrion, but I really want to see some sort of improvement out of this. From what I saw, it just reminded me of a crappy video with pink ground.

I'll throw my honest advice out there though - more graphics needed, and the glitches NEED to be fixed. The level itself seems all over the place. While you may have some sort of a concept, you're not following through with it. A pink level filled with Koopa-Marios is rather monotonous.

I still don't like it, but maybe if you take the advice in the thread, you can improve.
Watching all of Falco's videos, I think that he has some very interesting and neat concepts and very good ideas but this one is a little monotonous. I think that one of Falco's other videos had loud Rap music in there, possibly emphasizing the extreme action he wants to turn SMW into.

It would also be good if there was more of a concept, something psychedelic. I have this idea, which I showed to Reading, of a Psychedelic Mario hack. It would be neat to do abstract materials and the like that deviates from the boring stuck in reality of the hack series.

However, Psychedelia and abstractions don't always mean a straight line. Perhaps a few variations or some deeper stabs at the concept of the level would be nice.
I am not a hacker by trade, I am an observer and I can be very observant. I tend to lurk around here to prolong the good experience of playing the original SMW. Whatever can add onto it is something that I will definitely do when I am bored which is often. And I will rarely post and give praise when needed to the hacks that may make me interested to relive memories.

My worst enemy in Mario isn't Bowser but my controller that keeps on getting disconnected from the inside. Might be my memory count.
Why not make mario a rex, that turns into a small mario when squished? Of course, then you'd also need to change the head offset...
That wouldn't be to hard to make. Just modify Icegoom's Stretch sprite so that it is a tile higher.

Also, if you want Mario koopas, why not just enable Special World Passed? O_o
