Tip: Bad things to do in the title demo: Enter a door or a pipe, activate a P-switch or a star, complete the level, hit a message block, or die. These will either glitch the music, or force the player into an endlessly looping title level until they reset the game.
It's my first in this sort of area, though I am coming from a background of having made a bunch of stuff for Mario Maker. However I've been really enjoying just going into making stuff with Lunar Magic. So far everyone on the discord I've chatted with as well have been super helpful.
I'm onto working at the final level already though, but here's a few screenshots and even a small video of the first level! I'll put up more if I'm asked!
Here is the overworld! It's small and simple. I plan on having 8 levels to go through for the moment along with one bonus one. So 9 exits? I'm unsure if secret exits are counted as well and I want to work a bit longer to make those.
If people want a demo of the first few levels I am totally open to that as well!
Pretty basic but nifty for a first hack. I recognize the heart you are putting for the levels just from the screenshots. The pink blocks at the beginning of stage 1 are kinda confusing; do they kill you if you haven't activated the ON/OFF switch or are they like ordinary ON/OFF switch blocks? And I assume that fry guy boss actually has more challenge than what's there?
The On/Off blocks shown in the first part do harm Mario when not turned off, the little white marks are meant to be a bit like spikes but I'm terrible with the 8x8 editor.
Also, more updates! I've decided that now is a good time to post up the hack rather than leaving it in a state of limbo, as I feel it's properly in a good state, so I'm now just waiting for moderation!
