Originally posted by Blind DevilFrom what I've played so far, the level length itself could be considered borderline acceptable. The problem is exactly on what JP32 said about playing at a different pace. Some levels, especially puzzle-oriented ones, had several time-consuming steps which made 500 seconds not enough to beat them. This, and the fact that I usually go for all Yoshi Coins in a single run, aggravate the situation, because in order to get them all, you can't die and start from the midway point. Yes, dying at the midway point came up as a good alternative for me to "know the entire level beforehand" so I could later replay it and get all stuff I wanted... which is not cool. We should be able to do everything in a single, normal run by default.
I'm relieved this isn't just me being awful at these levels. I'm surprised you bother with the Yoshi Coins on levels which you are tight for time. The actual judges would probably only collect them on the ones that have plenty of leftover seconds. At least that's what the submission thread implies anyway.

That's a first level! Wow impressive! It's weird to think that there are quite a few good first entries in this contest.
