I just tried it on ZMZ, and i also got a black screen after the title screen, just like Plasmodium showed.

Well, from the ratings he gave, i'd say he is into the traditional platforming styled levels. Levels that have some action and the gameplay is mostly based on platforming, dodging obstacles and such.
Just see for example how he gave a "fantastic" rating to platforming levels that are very action based, while he gave mostly "fine" or "bad" ratings to other kinds of levels, like puzzle, gimmick or experimental styled levels. (mine included)

There's also the fact that his criteria for judging levels is very simple, just the "fun factor" (which is heavily affected by the type of levels he likes) and the length, and he said creativity and aesthetics didn't matter for his scoring.

So yea, it's a very limited way of rating levels, and isn't really similar to the contest's style of judging.

Where's your taste buds gone, man? That level deserves a higher ranking for it's creative use of abusing sprite slots. It's something which hasn't been done in a SMWC Vanilla Contest before.

I'll defend your level too. Vanish Castle's gimmicks were very clever, and I definitely liked it.
